We now have an All Blacks results page. It's similar tot he SR & NPC pages where you can search for and filter results
It contains every Test the ABs have played
Navigation
Direct link here
The menu at the top of the forum (not visible on phones):
Or via the front page:
Searching
It works similar to the SR & NPC pages
It defaults to the current season
You can filter on the following:
- Opposition
- Home/Away/Neutral
- Year range
- RWC games only
- RWC stage (Pool, QF, SF, 3rd/4th, Final)
Table
The table works better on larger screen sizes but there is a compressed table for phones
Re-order by clicking on the order header
More Details
Games from the last few years have a 'Details' button (every match from the 2015 finals onwards)
This opens up a new tab with team lists, youtube highlights and the top ten comments from the match thread
The team lists may have a few errors in them (late injuries/changes might be missed)
The comments on popular match threads may take a few seconds to load. It's not a huge amount of data but multiple queries have to made to the forum to get the top comments
Top comments of course are just the most upvoted. They usually relate to the game..

One other useful feature on the Rugby Museum (stats.allblacks.com) database is filtering by test venue.

I can add a 'City' filter relatively easy
The data I have for stadium names isn't that great. Incomplete for some Tests and inconsistent where the stadium has changed names etc
-
Just the forum votes. Iād like to pull the data and present it in a nicer way
We have votes for every Test in the last fours years at least
Then the details page would be a good summary of the TSF view of each Test

@duluth I wouldn't include that on the same page (All Blacks Results) as objective data such as wins, losses etc, team sheets, dates, venues, highlights etc.
Those objective data are interesting for all visitors to the page because they provide actual info.
A MOTM poll/graph based on the biased opinions of a limited number of voting forum members takes away from the value that objective data can add to the site. Maybe include a link to those polls under "Forum links" instead?
Anyway, that's my opinion.

I know what you are saying... I disagree though
I want the details page to be a TSF summary of the match.
Currently it includes the top comments by the same opinionated forum members. So it already has lame TSF jokes and shitty language right next to the highlights. Adding MOTM poll results fits in with that.

Yeah the city would be a simplified way of doing this. Otherwise for Auckland you need to include Alexandra Park, Potter's Park and soon to be Mt Smart.
I think this would be useful if, for example, you wanted to know the AB record in Jo'burg. The added feature of your results page is it includes wins, loses, average result, etc.

Am about to send you a spreadsheet that I nerded up a few years ago (when I was in total denial about how we didn't win World Cups, and didn't peak between them etc*).
(I know real stats nerds would use a database, not a spreadsheet, but I'm only a pretend nerd.)
So cobbled together a spreadsheet of results (no scorers info, just scores, venues etc) from various sources (AllBlacks.com, rugby museum, lassen.co.nz, and some other random results website I can't remember).
I expect you've got most of this information but am pretty sure I've got most of the venues included if you want to include an extra field.
I've generally named something like:
- Stadium Australia
- Stadium Australia- Telstra
- Stadium Australia- ANZ
Or for:
- Wellington Stadium
- Wellington Stadium - WestpacTrust
- Wellington Stadium - Westpac
- Wellington Stadium - Sky
Hope that helps
I could have got clevererer with the presentation, but it was only for my personal shits and giggles.
May be of use?
Emailing now.
'* re peaking between World Cups: completely inconclusive.

Thanks, just got a chance to look at it now. First of all, holy shit that is a great spreadsheet.
Wellington Stadium
Wellington Stadium - WestpacTrust
Wellington Stadium - Westpac
Wellington Stadium - SkyI think what I'll do is just use 'Wellington Stadium' and ignore the sponsorship
I'll do that sort of rationalisation for the NZ stadiums and a few of the main overseas ones. So eventually there will be a 'Stadium' filter but it won't include every single random stadium over the last 120 years
I have the 'City' filter working but it's not live on the website yet.. I'll update the website after I get the 'Stadium' filter working too

Thanks for the compliment.
Was developed over many years, with incremental improvements when I wanted to work out some new information.
Ran out of columns (if you can believe that) for all the opponents. So found a better way - eventually.
Being an Engineer a lot of what I do is plagiarising other guys spreadsheets, so always learning stuff.
People with more artistic flair would make it look better.
