Hamilton BHS beat Rotorua BHS 21-19. All three of RBHS's tries were from lineout drives, and speaking to some of their supporters that is how they've scored a lot of their tries this year. Not like the RBHS teams of old. Taha Kemara scored a late try and then converted it to give HBHS the lead before RBHS missed a penalty a few minutes later. We had Waikato's version of Rasta as ref so let's just say there were plenty of interesting calls during the game. No Payton Spencer through injury.
-
Massey picked up an away win 22-15 over WBHS in the NH comp.
Massey side quite a bit bigger than WBHS, after being 12 all at the break, WBHS failed to capitalise on a huge territorial advantage in the 2nd spell as Massey defence kept knocking them back.
WBHS have a winger, Kiwi Duncan, fast, strong and aggressive on defence, just a shame he only touched the ball a couple times in the 2nd half.

A huge crowd at the AGS-King's game.
Good game. King's had their chances, and arguably scored the match winning try, but ultimately just didn't take their chances.
Good to watch, more exciting than this Samoa Maori game

Wow, four result in the MC as expected with the combines sides all getting pumped, but then two boil overs with CBHS losing to St Thomas's and the girl's names beating STAC. That's both of last year's finalists. In their televised game, SBHS and STCC both looked like quality sides but with the proviso that it's hard to know so early in the season. Both had since had largely unchallenging runs but these two results stamp them as genuine contenders this year thats for sure.

@daffy-jaffy I watched the last 10 mins of the game live so saw the post-match. The entrances were much better.
@Stargazer Mt Albert Grammar 58 - 5 Liston College
