24 overs wasted before Sir Neil was brought into the attack.

Man there's swing, seam and some variable bounce. And India are 53/0. That's really disappointing.

Yeah. Win the toss, bowl first on a track hooping around... 53/0.

Not to be fatalistic about these things but you almost may as well shut the gate on an NZ win soon.

    thank you @rotated

    No problems.

Even two down I think we will struggle to make the follow on target. India look set for a big total here.

Before he became a short ball merchant Wags would swing the ball a lot. He'll enjoy these conditions.

Love Wags. I noticed Gill stood deep in the crease to Wags. And paid for it

Kohli is brilliant. A world beater. Simply amazing. Best in the world.

That was a good over from Tim. Had Pujara coming forward which is what we want.

I suspect Brian Lara is not going to bed either as his world record looks to be in jeopardy here.

I watched 10 mins. And I’m pissed off with the one eyed, erotic inducing love the Indian comms have for Kohli.

God knows how Doull didn’t punch them.

Well, could have been a hell of a lot better given the conditions and the quality of our attack. But, we have both their openers and can have a good crack at Pujara and Kohli after lunch.

Kyle was superb. He's such a tough bowler to face in tests; difficult to score off without taking undue risk and has the ability to get the ball to bounce, swing both ways, and move off the seam. He's going to be a key man for us.

We really need Boult and Southee to come to the party in the second session. They are the senior bowlers and should be taking the bull by the horns. Park cricketer is good for breaking partnerships but he can't bowl long spells, he's just not consistent enough.

Overall I give India the advantage given they had to bat first. But it's still in the balance, a couple of quick wickets after lunch and she's all on.

    Pretty even stevens, right now.

I really would have wanted 69/3 at lunch having put them in - but, we could make that ground up next session. I'd be reasonably happy with 140/4 at tea - more wickets than that would be a bonus.

Good thing with Pujara there is the scoreboard won't bolt along.

"If he keeps hitting those shots then New Zealand will be in all sorts of trouble."

    Calm down!
