I also need to add that in NZ we scale our tracks a bit better than Good-Dead-Soft-Heavy

We have Fast, Good 2, Good 3, Dead 4, Dead 5, Dead 6, Soft 7, Soft 8, Soft 9, Heavy 10, Heavy 11 & Heavy 13.

Tauranga is currently a Soft 9 and will firm to a Dead 6/ Soft 7 I imagine.

We would never race a horse on a fast track (Like concrete) can ruin a horse in one race

Just to correct Hooroo . . . it's slow 7 to 9. And heavy 11 is the heaviest track rating you can get in NZ.

Galaxy Miss swallowed a huge lump of turf apparently jump well took trail and suffered. She was coughing dirt so must trust trainer.

Barnaby won easily. Hands and heels last 100. Looks pretty neat. A bit excited.

Yeah. Quickest 600 of the day. I think he's smart but who really knows after two races. Off to Ellerslie maybe. I'd prefer him to spell now though. Maybe one more race as a three year old

I see you did get a write up in the Herald:
http://m.nzherald.co.nz/sport/news/article.cfm?c_id=4&objectid=11623525

Means squat now of course but you're obviously on the radar

Yeah. I just want to know how much she actually swallowed and what was the true hindrance.

Can't really remember posting the above posts. Barnaby's race was Race 1 and for once I wasn't the driver so the bubbles were flowing early. Was all tucked up by 9pm I think

Had 36 holes of golf on Sunday too. Won both matches but not without a lot of pain and then medication :)

Jason Tan made it his black booker on Weigh In on Sunday . . . said there's plenty more in store for him.

Yeah, I watched a replay of Weigh In. I wish Butch was on more often as he always told it like it is. Him and Jason Tan would be a great partnership for that show.

Looks as though we will be going to Cambridge Breeders Stakes at Te Rapa and then spelling him.

Peaky Blinders is running at Ellerslie on Saturday. Over more ground so is a chance I imagine.

JK, Duluth, Kirwan et al in Auckalnd, if you are about and fancy a beer at the races, let me know and I will organise tickets/owners priveledges for you.

PLayed 36 holes of golf there on Sunday. Great course. Needs fairways to be fixed properly. (Someone accidently put round up on all 18 fairways thinking it was Fert. They re-sowed but it never properly took as it coincided with two years of drought)

Presume it wasnt as wet as it was up here? Played whitford (great course) and was raining all morning, freshly cored greens and PLAY THE FKN LIE!!! Had an 86 which included numerous sandy 3 putts and penalty (as well as lost hole) for playing the wrong ball!

No, we missed the rain pretty much (Had brolly up for only half a hole)

Whitford is a great course. A big course but really challenging. 18 is a great hole (or is it the ninth where you go over the water to the green or lay up)
