It's going down to the wire in the Jazz/Lakers game. Kobe's taken 49 shots

Sweet bucket Kobe, Lakers hit the lead.

-

Kobe nails the FTs. Lakers up 3

-

Warriors get the record with Curry not playing the 4th.

-

in the bag now, after Kobe finds JC for the dunk. Cash it in SammyC

Kobe drops 60, from a cheeky 50 shots.

Thankfully the Lakers are so hopeless that they don't really care anymore, and let him do whatever he wanted. But somehow they win it.

Man that final quarter was just all adrenalin because he was really huffing and puffing after the 3rd. Still hit some huge shots though
-
I know he owns the Hornets which has its own issues (being seen to support another tram and all that) and he doesn't ever stick his neck out for people but I thought if ever he was going to show up for someone it was this game. Michael Jordan could have shown a lot of class to be on the side line.

You know what I mean though. It would have been a huge gesture.

Kobe doesn't need that validation though.

I hear what you are saying Raz, but they never played together or for the same team, so no big deal I reckon. Plus there were enough celebrities there to sink a ship.

It was more that Jordan said he considered Kobe the closest player to himself.

Kobe took down twitter with his 60. What a way to go out (bar the traditional win a championship and walk off into the sunset ala Peyton Manning). Hard to believe something could out shine GSW's effort of 73 wins today but Kobe did it.

I am tempted to put some money on OKC, must be great odds.

Yip. But I have an ill informed hunch!
-

I just watched a 30 for 30 about Shaq leaving the Orlando Magic. They had a great young team, it is amazing how well the ownership of the team farked the next 10 years of their franchise by losing O'Neal after striking it lucky in the draft two years running
