@shark I might have to, it certainly was an impressive win.

It was such a shame there wasn't a big crowd to see it. Was a tough game to watch for that reason, though I doubt the Dees fans minded at all!

@barbarian Yeah shame about the lack of atmosphere and all the whistle front and centre. Some canned crowd noise would have been good.

@kiwiwomble Classic Carlton loss. Show up for three quarters, get in the fight, then phone it in for the last quarter. Not fit enough, not good enough.

Melbourne v Lions this week will show if we are really at the level, because right now the Demons are setting the pace.

We've jumped to 3rd after thr Cats struggle past Collingwood

Good to see the Suns perform to expectation against the Hawks.

last Friday was supposed to be as well, but your lads hammered them.

I hope that doesn't get repeated.

It'll be tough to repeat that 40 point first quarter!

Am going to have to go back and watch the last quarter of Bombers Eagles game - looked like a foregone conclusion midway through 3/4s

@shark @mariner4life lets hope the game has a crowd, especially for the Dees.

oh is this being played at Ballarat or something?

Don't send us to Victoria, it's not clean!

For some reason I thought this was going to be at the MCG.

    Found the below:

“The three matches initially scheduled to be played in Melbourne in round 12 will all be moved, and Friday night's blockbuster between ladder leader Melbourne and third-placed Brisbane will be shifted from Alice Springs, most likely to a Sydney venue.”

So the shift from Alice to Sydney is surely to do with this games' elevated status and the Dees looking for a bigger purse?

@shark maybe but I've got mates who planned a trip months ago to Alice but covid has scuppered that because he drives trucks through Victoria.

In what should be a slap in the face of the vic-centric AFL, the Dreamtime game between two Victorian sides that had to be moved to Perth, has sold out already, without any travelling fans.

Look AFL House, your comp really is national, stop basing every fucking decision around Melbourne.

That will be a pretty cool atmosphere on Saturday night, and if recent form is anything to go by, it should be a bloody good game too.

Feisty start to the Dees vs Lions game. James Brayshaw is hands down one of my favourite commentators in any sport.

I hate that a goal that hits the posts on the way in is only given as a behind.

@shark congrats bro, 3 for 3 with the Dees, Saders and Suns winning.

When the Dees were put under pressure by the Lions, they turned it around and showed some steel. Excellent win.

Yeah, sadly I nodded off around quarter time. At that stage I think it was close. I was stoked to wake up and see we'd won by 20 odd.
