The NRL Season of 2016

Widdop is playing like dogshit (another player who is great at Melbourne, and shit everywhere else). Benji has been ordinary or hurt. Dugan is made of glass, and is dumb as a sack of hammers.

But maybe Paul MacGregor can't coach? Being a favourite son really does give you a lot of leeway.
-

And the roll is over, even a cabbage Manly team can easily put the Warriors away. Talk about bogey team, they could play their reserve grade side and probably beat the Warriors.

What the fuck is Cappy doing with Mutts? Leaves him off half the game in the early games, now he runs him into the ground.

Kata passed more in this game than in his past season and a half . Someone must have forwarded my constructive criticism to him.
-

Glad I was out for a couple of hours tonight!!!!
As Jake would say, 'fuck you and your warrior shit'.

And fuck you TAB, ALMOST conned me into your 'special' of the day - warriors 13+ and SJ to score, was gonna pay $4.75 if I remember rightly. -

I am going to attempt to be level headed about this...

1. Johnson is a head case at this stage. He's clearly not going to run and the world knows that is what he should do but hes just not in the game. He has the ability and the only thing I can see missing is the confidence to us it. Small list of short comings but a massive thing to be missing.

2. Ayshford is Wright/Neilsen v.3. Just offers nothing. Regularly found out on defense.

3. RTS he's out of sorts. Some good, some bad, a lot of average.

4. Rosbon is past it and offers nothing.

5. Forwards seem to have lost their ball playing ability. We are no longer the big boys either.

6. Wings, left and right defense, centres are all exactly where they always are. about 3 rungs below who ever they are playing against.

7. We still get killed by the refs.

Im not calling for anyones head but it may be an idea to give someone a rest between Robson and Johnson. Start Leuleai for one of them. See what happens. Likely Robson but Johnson could do with a look in the mirror.

Cappy will be feeling the ground around him starting to rumble. Not time to throw the baby out with the bath water but recent victories obviously flattered to deceive.
-

Man that was a tough game to watch.

Easy to say that the bunker screwed up Kata getting back into the field of play, which led to a try. But we still wouldn't have won it anyway. We were pretty woeful.

Charlie Gubb must be easily the most likeable player for the Warriors in ages. The guy has a massive heart and is involved in everything. He is truly an impact player. Even had the balls to square up to that tank late in the second half.
-

Fuck you Manly. Hope you all get bed bugs tonight.

- Either SJ is injured or he was scared tonight. No running SJ = no winning Warriors

- But Leuluai looked good teaming up with Luke tonight. Once fit he needs to replace Robson and help Luke around the ruck area.

- Warriors need to show some mana in the first 20 minutes. They look scared to take it to the opposition.

- He isn't getting much time on the field but Hurrell definitely attracts the defenders. They worry about him and therefore vacate a Warrior or two.

- I was wrong about Manly - they look to be a playoff contender in 2016.

- Wright did ok on the the wing but the fact Maumalo wasn't picked means he is following RFM out the club's front doors.

- Ashyford, Robson, Lisone, Vete should be replaced with Fusitua, Leuluai, Gavet and Sao.

Team for next round:

1.RTS 2.Lolohea 3.Hurrell 4.Kata 5. Fusitua 6.Johnson 7.Robson 8.Lillyman 9.Luke 10.Matulino 11.Mannering 12.Hoffman 13.Sao

Bench: 14.Leuluai (until he is fit enough to play 80) 15.Gubb 16.Gavet 17.Lane 18th man: Maumalo
-

Almost the polar opposite of last year where they would build up big leads and then blow them in the second half. Now they're letting teams run up a few tries on them and trying to chase them from behind.
-

Don't click if you're squeamish....

that man has a vagina on his head

James Spader's spidey sense is tingling
-

Some big changes for the game against the Doggies in Wellington. Lolohea moves to stand off, Fusitua moves onto the wing, Thompson returns from injury and Ligi Sao is the 18th man although expect him to be on the bench come kick-off.

Team to face Bulldogs at the Caketin on Saturday night:

1 Roger TUIVASA-SHECK
2 Jonathan WRIGHT
3 Blake AYSHFORD
4 Solomone KATA
5 David FUSITU’A
6 Tuimoala LOLOHEA
7 Shaun JOHNSON
8 Sam LISONE
9 Issac LUKE
10 Ben MATULINO
11 Bodene THOMPSON
12 Ryan HOFFMAN (c)
13 Simon MANNERING

Interchange
14 Thomas LEULUAI
15 Jacob LILLYMAN
16 Charlie GUBB
17 Konrad HURRELL
18 Ligi SAO

-

Bodene back is a positive to add a bit of variation to Hoffman and Mannering. I do like Lolohea as a playmaker that takes on the line. I'm quite optimistic, which usually results in the opposition winning by 10-15....

Hurrell needs to play to find form. Thompson has become the heart of the team with Vatuvei so hes a huge boost. Lolohea is an exciting guy and things happen when he is busy. He could spark Johnson.

I think its really just a matter of igniting self belief and theyll be off. This could be it.

You've gone and done it now.... Doggies by at least 20 now for sure.

Besides the Worriers never win in Wellington anyway (or Auckland for that matter).
-

Hurrell won't be playing tonight - he was in the NSW Cup side today. Sao is in the Warriors' final 17.
