ha ha Brisbane donkeys letting Reece go..wow, talk about pinching talent, that is gold. Entertaining game unless you support either side..then like most of us still have heart palpitations lol

@kev well they were running on fumes.
Walsh has arrived. Only RTS has put in that type of all round performance. Previously.
Yep - it’s the errors, the easy metres, the high tackles that added up tonight.
That last 2 minutes. They could have been up by 14 and you still wouldn’t have been confident.

Loved how the commentators were bagging the Broncos after Walsh had his 3rd try assist. Gold.

That was a wild game last night.
Radley got 2 yellow cards and was put on report 4 times. He also got to come back on the field after his second yellow, which I didn't know you could. He and Pangai Jr were going at each other all game.
17 year old, Suaalii, was solid on debut. He didn't do anything special, but he looked comfortable out there.

An NRL clean up isn't really a clean up. Anyway we must be getting close to SOO where they throw the rules out then window anyway.
-
Pangai did well to channel his aggression enough to piss off others, but not go high himself. You could argue that he got Radley especially in the high shot on himself wound up enough to do it. Thought Brisbane in general played pretty well last night, nit easy to beat the roosters at any time.
New rules clearly testing some though ..

Souths get 50 put on them, and then there were 2
It's Penrith and Melbourne for the comp.
Manly smoke Parra today. Manly are a fucking handful
-
Penrith are just scary. Theyre like GSW a few years ago. Super young, ridiculously talented and out here having fun. And the best thing is they don't care who knows it. So much hate being thrown at then here in Australia but imo this is a team of kids who grew up playing together and now their on the big stage they want to enjoy it. Thats what sports supposed to be about.
-
@raznomore they are kissed on the dick injury-wise as well. But they play bloody good football.
i still fucking hate them, and the Clearys most of all
-
the comp is so fucking one-sided
Penrith and Melbourne are daylight ahead of everyone
Parra, Manly, and maybe Souths in the next tier (although Souths have taken two appalling hidings recently)
A losing record gets you to 7th on the ladder.
The Dogs, Brisbane, The Tigers and Cronulla fucking stink. Newcastle are hammered by injuries, and stink, Canberra are awful.
St George, the Titans, Warriors and Cowboys are all sort of middle of the road sides trying to make the 8 and go out straight away.
It's not an open or even season, it's a long slog to the finals so one of the top 2 sides right now can win the GF. Origin will paper over some cracks.
Also, how do you feel being the NSW selectors trying to pick the fullback?

I actually feel a few teams can still win the comp, if they can stay close enough. You only need to put it together in the finals, if you can get that far. Penrith and Melbourne are great to watch but both are beatable, but you have to put it together for the whole game and not make errors when playing them. Most teams have a massive injury toll and to key players no less, then you have others that also have a few old-school players who need to change their tackling techniques. If you close enough at the end of the season, I think youre in with a shot and if Turbo stays fit, dont discount the impact that one player can have on a team.
As for origin I think Freddy has made it clear Teddy is still number one. Papenhauzen is likely to be out concussed anyway and Turbo is likely to line up right centre with Latrell on the otherside. Fullbacks everywhere, is what I think. I would be surprised if it was different (unless further injury or suspension comes along)

@bayimports as a Qld fan i kinda hope that all happens. Tommy making a lot of tackles can only be good for the opposition
-
And seeing as it's now the most important thing in the game
how good are the bins going? Another thousand sinbins over the weekend, a couple of them suuuuuper soft.
Yesterday i saw a player binned for being slower than another player. Seriously, how can you be binned for a guy running in to the back of you while you chase a linebreak? It was ridiculous.
29 charges laid this weekend. Half of those probably to Victor Radley, who had himself some kind of game. 2 bins and 4 reports from one match is really really incredibly stupid play. All for the same fucking thing too. I mistakenly thought he was a smart player.
I think Dylan Napa's was the softest of the weekend though.

I think its more he wants to fit all his best players in the team. JAC will play one wing and the other is still open. Is there a natural centre playing well/consistent enough? Probably not unless he plays S.Chricton? Its all a guess, but I can't see Turbo or Teddy not playing and Latrell has played centre before, so that is a no brainer for him
