US Masters

another bogey on 17 opened the door for Bubba to make the cut and brings the field closer.

Conditions are pretty rough (for Augusta)
-

Yep, Speith is +3 for the day and finishes with par on 18 for -4

So Lee is 2 back, plenty of talent within striking distance for day 3
-

ouch, Dechambeau (A) had a 7 on the last to drop back to even for the tournament.

-

Setting up beautifully with Jordan and Rory in the last group. If conditions improve then it's hard to see anyone else in the green jacket. But if they keep getting worse...

My theory is that if you are within 5 shots of the leader, you are in it. So there are still plenty of guys in with a shot. If the wind starts blowing, and someone like JDay or Matsuyama shoots -3 and Jordan and Rory stay where they are or even go backwards... game on.
-
Horror start for Danny alright.
-
Gusty winds out there again with most players going backwards, except Speith at this point, with a 3 stroke lead over Matsuyama
-
Former winner, 58 year old Bernhard Langer birdies 13,14 and 15 to get himself into a tie for 2nd.

Rory really struggling now.

Lee has grabbed back 2 of the 5 he dropped early on but still well off the pace -
Love hearing the chat between player and caddie

Spieth bringing himself back to the field here!

Bogey 17 and got a tricky putt for bogey on 18, odds to win jumped from $1.55 to $1.75, what will the be is he misses this one
-

Ouch, rough finish for Spieth: bogey-double, has a 1 stroke lead over Smylie Kaufman at -2, Langer, Matuyama -1 and Day and Dustin lurking at even.

Spieth dropped out to $2, which is pretty decent odds now I'd say, was 1976 last time someone went wire to wire and Spieth now lead the Masters 6 straight rounds.

Rory 5 back.

Lee has dropped right off the pace with a 79.

Still Spieth's to lose IMO. Can't see Kaufman or Langer challenging, and I'm not sure on Matsuyama. Would take a good round from Day or Johnson.

Conditions supposed to be better tomorrow, which helps Spieth as well.

Predict Jordan wins it at -5, two shots clear of Day and Matsuyama.
-

Yeah you'd think Jordan should do it, he still had 2 doubles out there in tough conditions, Matsuyama didnt putt well and you;d think Langer hit his ceiling today??

Anyone else would need a 65 or so with Spieth doing buggar all.
-

guess it had to happen...

Yeah there's a chance that three rounds of sleeping on the lead will take its toll on Spieth, and he will shoot +3 and fall away. But given he's a champion who has done this before I'd say the chances of that are very slim.
