Who was that who left his wing open, rookie play
-
@taniwharugby Edward Kosi. He's looked terrible on defense in the 2nd half. Basically the reason why it's so close.
-
The knock on from Bunty Afoa 30 out on attack on the first tackle set the tone for the 2nd half. They aren't a bad side, but they still lose concentration and let teams back in it with silly mistakes, like Walsh did on tackle 1 when hot on attack, and Sironen after weathering a massive storm.
They should have won by 20 today if they were more accurate in the basic fundamentals, but hey, at least they did win at the same time.

“Gutsy win” nah. I don’t take any win by the Warriors for granted, but it was disappointing that after an almost flawless first 40, we were a different side in the second and lost our shape badly.
We stay in the top 8.
-
I only saw the highlights, but there looked to be some actual spark in the attack watching our tries.
Good to see, as we’ve been way too one dimensional and system focused for a while now rather than playing some footy!
Disappointing to let a good lead slip, but they obviously showed a bit of backbone hanging in for the win where plenty of previous versions of the Warriors wouldn’t have.

@dice he’s one to look out for alright. Rocco Berry was one of the best school rugby talents in Wellington for some time. Was pissed when he decided to go to league.
Marty Berry's son!
With that heritage he’s bound to be a hard running legend

Game of two halves for the warriors and I think summarized by the fern nicely. They got complacent and then started to make some basic errors and before you knew it the completion rate was barely above 50% for most of the second half. That coupled with a right side defence that had three first grade starts between them. Kosi look like he has some athleticism, but just got lost defensively. Still errors aside, they won. If they finished a couple of those breaks in the second half then it wouldnt been close either.
He is still raw, but how the broncos let Walsh go is beyond me, actually looked good injecting himself at six (when he could grip the ground), giving RTS even more space. Also tackling machine Curran again looked good again and we should also lock him down to a long term contract.
and the other young kid Berry going no where

Warriors confirm Paul Turner leaving at the end of the year, although he has a season ending injury. For the record the Warriors did make him an offer to stay, but could not compete with new offer.
Interestingly Broncos lose another one ( was rumoured as a swap for Walsh), but he has actually signed for the Titans.

Shame. I quite liked the look of Turner last season

Xavier Coates to Melbourne
Katoni Staggs staying at the Broncos.

Good signing for Melbourne. Brisbane's stocks are taking a hammering despite keeping Staggs who wants to play 6 from what I hear. I think they'll end up with Johnson at halfback too if I were a betting man so Staggs and Johnson to be the Broncos halves for next year.
