@cyclops Trey Lance at 3 to the 49ers? From North Dakota State ... after 1 game.

Wow, that's some brain bending shit. Hope they know what they're doing

1 game? He played the entire year before.

Kyle swings for the fences and doesn't pick a traditional Shanahan QB. Exciting.

Thinks he can be the second coming of Pat Mahomes

If they keep Jimmy G then he's got a year to develop if needed. I'm not totally convinced they needed to go all the way to 3 to get him. No first round pick for two years is really going to hurt.

    Yep.

Finally Kyle gets his own QB who has enormous potential. Now it's up to him as a coach to turn him into a star. Very very exciting.

    LOL at Broncos social media

heaps of posts a lot like mine

a lot saying how good the player we actually got. But doesn't exactly fill a need

then a lot assuming that this means we are getting Rodgers...

Lucky for him. Now we'll see if his pre draft shirt off look is the only similarity with Brady

Picking Lance feels like it significantly increases the chances of Jimmy G staying at least one season. Which I would favour, just like Alex Smith mentoring Kaepernick and Mahomes

    fucking niners fans

you won 6 games last year. 1 more than the Broncos who suck.

Yes they are not bad. but they play in a tough division (which relates to teh above stat) with pass rush everywhere.

We won 6 games year because we had a historic injury list.

Jimmy G, Kittle, Bosa, all injured

Tha Jags take Etienne. Seems foolish to me, Robinson is an excellent back and they have a ton of other needs.

I had a gut feeling they were going to do something stupid in the first, just wasn't off on which of their firsts it was.

Ah just realised he's from Clemson too. Next year Jags announce they're moving to South Carolina.

Chicago Bears finally get a solid future prospect in Fields. Remains to be seen if he makes it, but the bar is pretty low in Chicago

Didn't manage to follow day 2 live but doesn't seem to have been many shocks. Trask at the bucs will be an interesting watch. I think he's a long shot to make it but he's got plenty of time to grow. Mond in the 3rd feels like a massive reach to me, sure the vikes could have got him later, but I guess they had a bunch of extra picks so just wanted to get him.

I was expecting the Jets to trade down and recoup picks after jumping up for avt. They love Elijah Moore though and reckon they got 3 first round quality players. Zach Wilson has no excuses now. His blindside protection will be up there with the best in the league, his receiving corps is stacked with dynamic talent and the lafleur flavour of the shanahan offence should be friendly. I'm also picking one of the jets rbs to have a massive season in a run friendly offence with two road graders to run behind, but the tricky bit will be picking who that will be. Lots of rumours that they were looking at drafting one of the top guys, but if they don't take any I think Ty Johnson could top 1000 yards.

Give this a read for an interview with Shanahan about Lance (scroll down til you get to The Lead).

They were pretty damn thorough. No guarantees but it's hard to argue with their process

DK Metcalf ran in the heats for the Olympic trials for the 100m metres.

He ran last, but in a decent time of 10.37

But the thing was, you look at him at the start line. With him there, all those other sprinters, who normally look massive, looked like middle distance runners. He is fucking massive.

No fairy tales for DK but I love that he went out and did it rather than just talk shit.
