I think it's starting to look clear that the best teams in the comp are the Bulldogs, Richmond, Port and the Weagles.
Melbourne and Sydney the best of the rest. So i think there are two spots left available in the 8.
I think the bottom 4 is pretty much right.

I'd like to take exception to that, but I can't. Perhaps if we beat the Tigers.

it's not disrespect. Those teams are pretty bloody good, and it shows how far Melbourne have come since last year with essentially the same personnel
-
@mariner4life We really shouldn't have been as crap as we were the last couple of years after making a prelim final.

@kiap grass roots AFL is a really scary proposition for other sports. It's very well run, and awash with cash.
The AFL development programs are awesome. My mate used to run the AFL programs in Canberra and they are a slick machine. I felt for the Raiders and especially the Brumbies because they were getting a lot of interest from what is a rugby/league heartland.

my neighbour's daughter is now on the Suns pathway. Once a passionate representative netball player, she no longer has anything to do with that sport, it's all AFL.

I actually think you will beat Richmond,
Just think right now at this point in the season , you are in better form , and it’s taking on grand final importance to Melbourne, Richmond not so much,
Whether the same thing applies at the pointy end is a different matter though , Richmond have made no secret they like to start slow , build their momentum in the second half of a season , eventually that will fail, time will tell

I'm actually quite looking forward to it. Melbourne have a couple of players i really like. And i hope Nathan Jones can wind the clock back. That guy has been a fucking Warrior for that club. 300 games busting his ass only to lose nearly every single week.
And watching Dustin Martin in a big game, especially in the 4th, is always quality viewing

Ty Zantuck suing Richmond for damages, based on all the epidurals they gave him.

Tigers, Eagles and Sydney have all now shown they are beatable, loving what I am seeing from the doggies and Demons

Flicked on to Blions v Carlton.
96-66 Blions lead with less than 15 left.
Comms going on about "a season changing result if the Blues can steal it".
They're 5 goals down with 15 to play. What on God's earth makes anyone think they could steal this.? Other than marketing hope to a large Melbourne audience.
Since I've been typing 1 behind to Carlton. 96-67. Less than 10 to play.
Oooh. So close.
-
Lions were banged up and were hanging on
But the Carlton cheerleading was ridiculous
Good win in the end. That goal by daniher was repayment for being a useless shit the rest of the game
-
God they flogged them. Big night for Melbourne
