Highlanders V Force
-
Well the Farce fought hard to keep the game close, which is pretty much all they ever do in this competition.
-

Best person on field was the ref IMO.

-

That was a horrible horrible game of footy.

Sure there were a thousand errors, but I didn't think it was too bad to watch.

At least the Highlanders play positive footy. I far rather that than some 10 man slug fest, where the most exciting thing the backs do all night is get into the shower and un-shrivel the old fulla!
-

You make a fair point. I suppose I've developed high standards for my team now, where I don't expect them to make silly mistakes like the one which led to the first try and to be able to convert the chances they bombed. So when they don't I end up feeling a bit sour on it.

Force are under care of the ARU. Suggestions they'll drop Perth altogether, and maybe put the 5th aussie team in Western Sydney according to some people... in Western Sydney.

Was always a surprise that Perth got the nod, and the first couple of years were great, if the results weren't. But it just doesn't look sustainable, they can't attract players, and even though they were smart enough to reject Richard Graham, they can't attract a decent coach.

As for the Clan - you can't do much but win, no matter how slow the start. The new BP system is creating a bit of a new dimension for teams, and slow starts are going to make it hard to grab a 5 point game.
-

Apparently Pryor was MOTM....outside of his handling, he played well, but though Aaron Smoth was the key for the highlanders.

Amusing thing is the people on FB are saying Pryor made too many errors advocating Osborne and Faddes for MOTM.... -
I thought squire was the best player on the field

Aaron Smith was far and away the best player on the field in my opinion. Lucky to only get away with the penalty though for that tackle.

Sorry, but you're talking rot!
The only reason it looked remotely dangerous was because Squire? was lying where the tackle was made and the dude being tackled kinda rolled/twisted over him. -

We've seen worse punishments given for less. It isn't really that controversial to say he was lucky the ref and TMO were being reasonable.
-

So therefore in this case, where they have, he could be considered lucky I guess... -
He was lucky, but the correct decision was made imo
