Nothing about David Havili, who's missing in both line-ups. Hopefully just sitting this one out, like the ABs.

Blackadder will be hoping to make the most of the absence of Sanders - essentially the opposite scenario from 12 months ago.
With Grace wanting to play at 8 leaves 6 open for Blackadder for the start of the comp

@Bovidae I missed he'd been picked up, always worries me when someone the Landers didn't want gets picked up by the Crusaders
Nah he's promising and has a better chance of developing in the Crusaders system than the Highlanders. What's more astonishing is that the Crusaders have picked up a Bedean after all the others have been compelled to go elsewhere.
-
@shark don’t get my wrong, I agree he’s promising I believe I said I was disappointed the landers had let him go.
Unless I’m wrong he wasn’t named in either squad originally, as in we thought Bryn evans was a better bet than someone up and coming
-
Oh sorry. You meant the Highlanders may have made a mistake and the Crusaders may benefit? I took you to mean from the Crusaders point of view we should be worried we've picked up a Highlanders reject. My bad. Anyway, he could yet end up anywhere as he's just a ring in for this game I think.

Oli Jager out now for a while, too. Lotsa good young props coming thru but we lack experience there.
Real shame for Oli. I thought he was really starting to hit his straps and play with a bit more consistency. He’s still young and has plenty of time ahead of him.
-
@ACT-Crusader He's a pretty good scrummager. And I've heard/read that Jason Ryan rates him highly and that says something.

That would be the way I'd start - with Douglas and Dunshea in the wings.
I hope Razor gives Sione Havili a decent shot to compete for the 7 jersey. Sione cleaned up at the Mako player awards - Defender of the Year, Mako Man of the Year and Player of the Year.
