Not much help in the pitch, and the A Team bowlers for India have looked toothless. England 416/4 and India has burnt through their reviews in increasing hopefulness/desperation...

    @Donsteppa terrible pitch.

Last night they were showing close ups of the ball at about 50 overs old. Never mind the Aussies and their sandpaper, it looked as though someone had a go at it with the wire brush. The seam was pretty much worn down to nothing.

Can’t see this being anything other than a draw.

Pant batting the house down. Seeing them like beach balls.

In other news the Windies have chased down a big 4th innings total to beat Bangladesh. Great effort, new boy Kyle Mayers with a double of 40 and 210 not out to give him a test average of 250.

Fucken suck on that Don Bradman, more than double your "efforts".

Interesting period of the Poms v India game

England with a good lead but want to force the pace before declaring late on day 4

India probably have everyone a little spooked with their chasing ability. England will probably be extra cautious on the declaration

Indians open with 2 spinners, Ashwin getting Burns first ball of the innings, and putting him on a hattrick which he doesn't get.

Test cricket with all sorts of novelty

Poms 258 ahead with 9 second innings wickets intact. 150 odd overs left in the match

Reckon they should have enforced (/broken record). VVS happened once. And there would not have been enough time to lose.

Yeah I hear all that but there's just something about a couple of pace bowlers opening up and getting hostile.

Pretty hot in Chennai, and haven't you noticed, poor widdle bowlers need a rest. And the pitch was exploding dust on day 1.

Poms have come over very well prepared and no crowd is a leveller - reckon the indian "home" crowd was a factor in oz

England 71 for 4, lead of 312, with the Kane impersonator still in

India have England right where they want them now, chasing 300 on the final day is how India plan to win all their games.

India will love it if England get sucked into thinking that their off spinner is more than just lucky on his wicket count. Pant was eating him up fast the other day.

England should win, to my untrained eye they were too cautious last session, left themselves fewer overs than they could have. But ... I'm sure they have a plan they were working to. Shouldn't matter in the end.

Been some cracking tests the last few weeks. All 3 tests over the weekend were good.

Batting 100 overs on a day 5 pitch in India is bloody difficult. If India save this, they'll have bloody well earned it.

    I assume rain isn't forecast πŸ˜ƒ
