Not sure that they will race. The met service has it at 7kph, so well under the 6 knot limit. Forecast is for it to fill in a bit by 3pm. Might end up being a displacement race. No idea how that might pan out or whether they can get around the course in time (doubtful).
-
That AC forecast also has a NE -N, the met service has S-SW until 9pm. Completely contrary. A sea breeze is likely so maybe AC have it right, but it might just counter the prevailing to nothing.
I had an afternoon on the couch with a few beers planned. Very annoying. -

@Bovidae they have plenty of speed but getting done on the starts and arent able to recover.
They look very slow tacking or gybing too, seem to lose a huge amount of boat speed
-
@taniwharugby That start was even but Luna Rossa got the favoured right side.
USA needs to be ultra-aggressive in the pre-start in race 4 because they won't win unless they force a mistake from Luna Rossa. No point in trailing every leg - again.

Barker is shit, that start was awful
He is just so passive compared to Spithill.

@Machpants its one thing to get beaten by skill but to add in mechanical issues just adds salt to the wounds

@Crucial Yes. From what I have read the designers optimise for a wind range and you hope that covers as wide of a range as possible. Team UK wants stronger winds while Luna Rossa is better at the lower end.
1:52 secs win to Luna Rossa in race 1.
