Like a merry go round. Team A trades something to team B who trades something to team C who trades something to team D. So all teams get what they want when team A couldn't just trade to team D

Given the size of Harden’s contract at Houston and the fact that Nets current salary load with just 3 players (KD, Kyrie and Harris), it would take a multiple team deal to get Harden to the Nets.

Just for those who missed the details of the trade.

ESPN saying that Harden is only the second player to be traded the year after being the league's top scorer. The first player was Tracy McGrady.
That was when T-Mac went from the Magic after the 03-04 season to the Rockets where he spent the next 6 seasons I think. Magic also sacked their coach during the season after T-Mac left.
Magic didn’t make the playoffs in 03-04 and lost in the first round the two previous seasons despite T-Mac leading the league in scoring in 2 of those 3 seasons.
Rockets with T-Mac and Yao lost in the first round to the Mavs. Was an awesome series that one.

@TeWaio some truth In here
-
Not sure how long they can keep this regular season going like this. Postponed games every night, teams barely scraping 8 players, results being skewed by significant outs, some big minutes being forced on some players, new restrictions on players, coaches and support staff.
I reckon they shorten the season to 45-50 games.
-
Anyone else watch Nets v Magic yesterday? Harden with an opening game 30 point TD. Loved Steve Nash post game press conference “he definitely stuffed the star sheet. He almost got a quadruple double”. Harden had 9 turnovers 😀
Harden at least looked interested and played decent defence. Some of the turnovers were errant passes which you could put down to lack of chemistry. He worked well with Jeff Green. KD was at his efficient best with 42 points on only 26 shots. Harris was hitting too.
If Kyrie comes back there is a very good ‘small ball’ lineup of KD, Green, Harris, Kyrie and Harden to close out games. Throw Shamet into the mix if you want more shooting and depending on the opposition.

the schedule now has more postponed games than those played. Some teams are just hammered, it's a complete sham at this point.
But i don't think the league can afford to not play can they? No league can.

@ACT-Crusader it's certainly an interesting experiment.
question. Trade Kyrie?
-
@mariner4life I don’t think they can stop it completely, but the schedule needs a serious look at.
Today the Knicks beat the Celtics by 30. No Tatum and whilst Kemba and Teague were back they were on minute restrictions. Offence was all over the show.

you didn't even need to delve in to the stats to know how restricted the Celtics were. Getting blown out by the Nicks, and posting a small score, you knew they weren't at full strength.
Aren't the Heat severely impacted as well?

Absolutely. I've been banging this drum for a while. They don't need his offense, but they sure need some defense. They probably can't get Simmons now for him, but even Dort from OKC plus picks would be a great trade.
