Black Caps v Pakistan

@Donsteppa been travelling and only worked out how to get radio commentary last half hour or so (so heard that incident). (Only got to hotel to see last wicket on Foxtel Go just after it happened.)
Loves your comment about home town umpires.

Don't get replays but I swear Jamieson bowls back foot no balls when wide.
And as I type, Baz explains a rule change...
Sorry dude, missed that. Can you please elaborate?
You know it used to be that if you touch the return crease (the one parallel to the pitch length) with your back foot it was a noey? Stopped you bowling from too wide.
Apparently that's no longer. Baz said something about your first point of contact or some such.
Suffice to say that I don't know the details but do know not to bother looking anymore because I imagine they've made it nigh on impossible to bowl a back foot no ball from here on. And the tv umpire no ball nazi probably doesn't have time to check both feet -
As @siam says first point of contact.
I like Baz as commentator. Anyway the law (no idea when they changed it, but it had me puzzled when it happened as it looked wrong under the old law):
21.5.1 the bowler’s back foot must land within and not touching the return crease appertaining to his/her stated mode of delivery.
Edit: What @dogmeat said.

Told yas. That is all.
Told us what?
Santner could get 2 (very much) tail enders out in the the last session of play on a turning wicket?
2 for 59. Game would probably have been over a lot earlier if he hadn't bowled 19.3 overs.
One of the first guys picked for white ball cricket, not an option for red ball. Don't think his 19 as an "allrounder" really helped either.

Wagner out of the second test.
So who comes in? Henry? That should give us somebody else to moan about besides Satnav.

Some mention of Nuttall?
Nuttall? Nuttall? Anyone got oil on Nuttall? -

CDG was in the nets at the Mount wasn't he? His record in Chch is quite good I think and it isn't generally a turner. If they insist on an "all rounder"...
Is Ferg still broken as well?

@Snowy I read an article where they (Stead I think) were suggesting a like for like replacement. Names mentioned in the article were Henry, Brackwell and Nuttall.
None of those seem "like for like" for me but from what you have read that is probable.
@Bovidae might also have it.
Is there any news on CDG?

They aren't like for like. 2 are new ball bowlers exclusively (Henry and Nuttall). At least Bracewell has form as old ball bowler, but that is circa 5 year history now.
I'd suggest Tickner. As potential to be effective with old ball compared to domestic contemporaries. But no one is Wagner.
Need to go green at Hagley. Really green. If we are selecting an extra new ball bowler.

Yes, that's a perfectly adequate performance I want. Allrounder who may be effective if our 4 good seamers are getting nothing. Got some last day wickets when bouncer barrage on a pudding is ineffective
Not Daryl Mitchell. Our 4 good seamers are ineffective at the moment on this pitch, I wish we had a bowler who bowls like them 4 but not as fast and not as good, to change it up.

I just re-read the article and this is what Stead said
"I think it's likely it will be a like-for-like replacement, so you imagine it is going to be a pace bowler."The author of the article then threw up the three names.
