Is it wrong to enjoy that short sentence as much as I do?
@NTA can you keep us updated with any amusing cases of Indian fans losing their shit on the Wisden page ?

But shit to nail a number 11 who is backing away.
He started backing away too early so Cummins followed him, probably thinking the guy wanted a big swing at it. The short ball sets up the wicket ball.
The fact he put himself in an awful position isn't "shit" by Cummins. These guys are pros. Shami has been around long enough to get better.
32 for 9, number 11 has backed a metre outside leg stump, bowler has followed him and it is aimed at his throat. I'd call that a bit shit, there is some instinct, hence the "bit", should have aimed at his toes if following him. It's not like his 1 not out off 3 balls is full of boundary upper cuts or hooks so far.
If I had some sort of imaginary line of acceptable behaviour that I expect other teams to follow, but without ever communicating or agreeing this, I'd say he crossed the line.
Until one of my bowlers does it , then I'll defend him (except Timmy ...)

far out, Australia hard to beat at home. Well played- they are remarkable
Puts our tour into perspective somewhat. If we make the final at least it will be at Lords not in Aus. Assume it would be a Duke ball as well?

I don't think half an hour of caught behinds with a pink ball jaffas delivered by 2 absolute gun seamers compares to our abortion of a tour culminating in leaving out our best fit bowler in the last game. But I take your point that shit crazy things happen in Australian summers. Those fluffybunnies always find a way... (except last indian series π)
Thank God for the potential trans Ta$man final silver lining because I was gutted it finished so quick. That was an enthralling test match for 2 days.
Well done that pace trio and congrats Aussie for an off the canvas knockout blow. Think Tyson Fury, Dental Wilder but Fury actually knocks wilder stone cold outπ
The best cricket team in the world carried big time by a bowling unit and 2 and a half ( marnus just started) quality batsmen. The modern era windies attack and still no room for Pattinson!
Fucken ockers!

Yeah, hence the "somewhat" and was responding to the how difficult they are at home. Just thankful that if we play them it will be in England. Probably won't make any difference to the outcome, but I'm running out of straws so that one will have to clutched.

So now my hopes of Australian cricket team schadenfreude is over (a large degree of my angst for this 2 dayer was the high of watching the champion, and self effacing, Aussies on the ropes - hopefully like when Aussies watched the ABs vs England last year). That same warm glow.
So, now I've switched allegiances, what are the permutations for a trans Ta$man showdown in covidville?
Clean sweep?
Some runs or wickets calculation?
Do our results vs pakis count?
Anyone got the scenario that we can cling to?π

Throat? Here's the replay link - go around 3:55 to see the delivery.
Barely armpit height as he's falling over, taking his eyes off the ball.
Shami has a Test half century and an average in double figures (just), which is alright for a number 11. So "harden the fuck up" is my advice. Wear another arm guard if that helps.

I understand when the first instinct on here is to have a crack at Aussies for being big bullies, picking on poor widdle tail enders from other nations.
When Neil Wagner fires in 193 short deliveries in Perth (a record since records began in around 2006), to all parts of the batting list, the lot of you are in a race to de-glove yourselves on the thrashwank.
The problem you've got in making your comments, is you're looking at the outcome - if Shami had avoided retiring hurt and been bowled next ball, that delivery wouldn't even register.
That wasn't a particularly dangerous delivery at Test level, even for a #11 but he fucked up because the whole dressing room had shit its pants by then.

That actually could have much broader scope than just here...

In any case, what does this mean for Boxing Day?
Well it'll be back to red ball, which is probably a bit of comfort for India if they want to write off the loss to the unusual circumstances of day/night cricket. Which, to a degree, they can.
Batting just seemed difficult overall. India probably had one decent session with the willow that wasn't completely dominated by bowlers. Other than that? 2.5 days speaks for itself.
India will be missing Kohli and have to discard a couple of other underperformers. That will make it tough for Rahane to lead but they have depth - better commentators than I say their selections weren't quite right this time around. We'll see.
Australia have Warner to come back. The question is: where? If he takes an opener's slot, I suppose it is likely Wade misses out. The other option is to squeeze out new kid but I think that would be a waste - another guy who can hold a bat AND bowl 140km/h at the top of off should be tried again, if for no other reason than to see how he pulls up.

Wade will be the unlucky one. Green wonβt be left out of this side any time soon. Thereβs an outside chance Head misses out and Wade returns to the middle order. Not likely though.
Is Pucovski available? I would select him ahead of Burns but I doubt Langer would.

It's true.
In a year of fuck all sport, they decide to turn the second innings' into a T20 match - and a pretty poor one at that!
