He may have a point if the wine is shit. Still, there's ways to provide that feedback without being a dick ... and he whiffed.
The wine looks ... interesting. Cloudy, kinda weird. They'll probably be successful, but it doesn't look inspiring to me.

Yes. I won't be rushing out to buy it though.
In a most un-fern like fashion I actually read it. Why is it misogynistic? I can't see anything there that implies a hatred of women (just shit wine).

Yeah I missed that too, I’m sort of torn as the woman is obviously more offended than she should be but then again the wine critic has such a punchable face

ah, she was a twit for going straight to the comment about 'an old white guy'. He may have a sound point if the wine is genuinely not good.
I can't believe I'm posting on this shit on the internet.

I think this is why this thread was created in the first place.
It will be hard to top the woman who complained when her little darling got hot pie filling dripped all over them, all the companies fault of course, no parental responsibility required..

I'm just shocked than you can apparently tell how good it is from a photo, or are you just showing off in front of your internet mates

honestly, it could be distilled unicorn piss and rainbows for all I know. But ... it looked cloudy, and a proper critic thought it was so shit they emailed someone. There were red flags with the 'treating grapes with respect, full organic' wine producer as well.
Fair to say if I tasted some, I'd expect it to be 'interesting' but not necessarily 'good'. Frankly, I'm not a big pinot noir fan anyway; there aren't many affordable examples that float my boat.

Actually that's a very good point, a $20 Pinot just tastes a bit empty compared to a Shiraz/Syrah of the same value.
I'm sure a $50 Pinot tastes pretty bloody good but fuck spending that much.

Fussy little fluffybunny of a grape to grow apparently and the outcome varies tremendously on the season, terroir, etc (wine snob comment, and yes I am a white male - so probably a misogynist too, even though I love women).
Generally a cheaper Pinot is shit, but damn the expensive ones can be good. So yeah, I avoid them too and stick to shiraz / syrah.
None of the above changes the fact that that is a really crap article, and like @nzzp I can't believe that I even bothered typing any of that.

@Snowy You inspired me to read it. He does come across as a plonker (boom tish) but so does she. In fact no one comes out of it well.
Not a wine I would be interested in tasting at all.
yeah I decided I needed to read it too...
I drink F-all wine, plus I dont think I'd ever buy a red in a clear bottle!
And look at the other offerings currently on Stuff

@taniwharugby The bottom left article has triggered me, as the kids say - because we fucking do!

So a policy condition, and the law is a loophole and falling asleep is an act of god?
He's lucky he wasn't drunk, the police could well have charged him with DIC too!
Amusing how he has lost faith in his Insurer, despite the fact the Ombudsmen and the court saying he was in the wrong too.

@taniwharugby this thread could be re-named "Re-write This Headline".
In this case:
