In ten years time our team might plunge to the depths of the mid 2000s and we might get another generation of plodders ( which the Windies basically are ) so let’s embrace the fine players we have now.
Absolutely, enjoy this team. Hopefully success will breed success though and these guys will inspire the next generation of players.
Not sure that I could handle another couple of decades being traumatised by the BCs.
As for the match, it is probably better for us if the pitch still has a bit in it next couple of days. I think our bowlers will know how to get more out of it than the Windies (assuming that we have been bowled out or hopefully declared). I get the feeling Jamieson might be the man.
Revenge for all the trauma Garner/Walsh/Ambrose caused us over the years.

Ken Rutherford would agree with that sentiment

the best bit of the Windies touring was the constant playing of "Oh Carolina" during the coverage
i trust Spark is sticking to tradition?

this stat as put on cricinfo
Here's a stat for you - since 2017 Kane Williamson has averaged 60.48 in test cricket, an impressive stat by itself, however his weakness has been susceptibility early. If he gets past just 5 runs his average leaps up to massive 93.90!"
huge if true

this guy
What a day in Hamilton. Morning session at Firecats followed by cricket at Seddon Park. I can confirm the wifi works at the ground so if you have some flexibility get down and watch the skip raise his bat
-
also thank fuck for Kane. The Windies might not be looking forward to batting on this. It's taken one of the worlds top bats, and a dude who many are calling one of the best openers currently around to get runs, everyone else battling.
Windies don't have dudes of that callibre

Oh man! you keep beating me to it! Just before kick-off today "David Bain" wrote in and was quoted. It's obviously setting others off to get stuff in the Indian commentators won't pick up on. If he was more astute he would know Firecats is no more.

I haven't been following Darren Bravo lately (and I see he's picked up a niggle) but a few years ago he was certainly around the Latham level. Holder is also a much better bat than most give him credit for. No one of Kane's class though. I think the difference might also be the ability of Blundell and Nicholls to hang around even if they're not scoring. Bravo might be good enough, but can others bat with him? The pitch might flatten out too.

poor fluffybunnies
Kane gets 200, decides it's T20 time, whacks their best bowler for 14 off 3 balls.
bowler nicks him out. And over-steps.

Which is apparently no big deal according to the batting averages thread 😉
