    Self-admiring, self-promoting waste of space.

Hard to see how we could do much worse.

He is a cock, and it is probably only coincidence that during his looooong reign that rugby returned to Olympic status and managed to land a highly successful RWC tournament in Asia.

I'm not giving him any credit for staging the 2015RWC that managed to have its host knocked out in the pool.

@booboo Gosper is on record as saying (pretty much) that he didn't see the drift of SH players to NH clubs as a problem.

You're just saying that because NZ never won a gold medal.

    we haven't?

Sevens isn't rugby, it is a separate game with similar characteristics.

I remember being unimpressed when he got goaded (via Twitter) into intervening in the disciplinary process re: Adam Thomson at Murrayfield. Gee, that must have been a long time ago. He;s been in that job a long time.

Other than that, no real complaints or bouquets.

Can only execute what the voting powers agree.

The execution side of WR is quite good IMO. Including, especially, towards Pacific Islands, TIer 2s. the financials.

Any idea of his replacement? Phil Browne, the Irish Rugby CEO, seems like a decent, honest guy.

Gosper. An old-boy at the head of an old-boys club.

Not saying that's a bad thing necessarily, but thats exactly what he is.

Certainly cocked up at the start when decided to get involved with refereeing decisions. However, been pretty quiet on that front for quite a few years now.
