In all seriousness given turnover ball is so key to our attacking game I'd say the two have more crossover than appears on the surface. -

<p>Out of interest, anyone have any idea how the NZRU would be on protecting any intellectual property Smith or any coaches have when they leave, given it must be a tough industry to try and enforce a restraint of trade clause in your contract (ie you cannot work for any other top tier International side)</p> -

<p>I'd say Smith spends just as much time with the forwards (especially the loosies) as he does with the backs on counter-attacking options and the identification of space.</p>

<p>I know Foster is criticised here, particularly from us Chiefs fans, but Hansen has been quoted as saying that Foster runs the AB practices and he (Hansen) oversees proceedings. The main thing is that the coaches work well together and complement eachother. It appears that Smith and Foster will now share the Mick Byrne skills duties.</p> -

<p>Maybe theres a standown period for someone like Mick Byrne before they can assist another test side? I remember reading the abs got first call on some software they use to analyse post match and it wasn't offered to other teams until there was an upgrade which the abs again got first.</p>
