I have to say Trump's actions in the last 24 hours have really turned me against him.
I certainly see the things he achieved in his presidency, and understand the difference between the surface (tweets etc) and the substance (peace deals, jobs etc). Though I would have voted Biden, I wouldn't be too disappointed to see Trump win again.
But this has been a test of statesmanship, which I still think matters. And Trump has resoundingly failed.
And he's failed on a couple of fronts. His claims about being ahead and then somehow behind can be debunked by a child. He was behind and then ahead in Florida, the only difference being they counted the mail-in votes first there. He was always going to need a big lead in day-of voters in the rust belt states, and it looks like he might have just fallen short.
But then the fraud allegations, of which at THIS POINT IN TIME he has absolutely no evidence of (there may be fraud, there may not be, that will be aired out in the coming weeks ad nauseam). To drop the f-word as the President on election day before the counting has finished is just incredibly poor behaviour, and sets the country up for four years of fighting and instability regardless of the eventual winner.
He didn't need to do that. Biden handled it perfectly - project calm and confidence, say that you will be victorious, but you'll let the votes be counted. And then if you want to muddy the waters, you use your proxy commentators (like Rudy G) to make fraud allegations.
But Trump has never been able to resist the urge to get in the mud. At times it's refreshing, endearing even. But then there are times when you have to be the capital-p President and just be better. But when the time came for that he's failed, IMO.

Nevada and Arizona should/will get Biden home here.
It'll be 270 -268 (most likely).
I think what I heard about on CNN was Nebraska (not Nevada) 2nd district (1 EC vote). 'Called' for Biden in a strongly Red State. Would be a natural for a recount.

But I can't believe any member of the armed services would vote for a draft dodger who called them (collectively) "losers" and "suckers".
Fake news
Alot of stuff about him is, and I hate the whiny snowflakes who constantly whinge about him.
But he is and he said those things.
Its fake news FFS. More lies (the media does thsi a lot) made up based on anonymous sources, Whereas people with him said its all lies
https://www.vox.com/2020/9/4/21422733/atlantic-trump-military-suckers-losers-explained
Four reputable news outlets, all citing anonymous sources, report President Donald Trump disparaged US troops, veterans, and missing service members, with several outlets reporting he has called military members “losers.” Yet the president, along with current and former staff on the record, continues to dispute those stories. -

They seem to think it's a done deal here.
Ha! It's been edited and the Maine result has been taken out! So, Biden is back to 252!
Ha! Edited again and now it's back to 253...

Fake news
He is a draft dodger (fact).
He did make those comments (fact)
He didn't make the comments. My view is if the milaitary votes were known Trump would easily win
and its draft deferment. And why should someone fight if its not their thing (its not a numbers game like it was). Some love this life. Others don't (I didn't like it but for some in the TF it was like a holiday camp)
Former President Donald Trump received military draft deferments five times — once for bad feet and four times for college.
edit. I had a friend who applied for the TF and was rejected for a minor medical issue. Even more minor than bad feet
Fixed it

It’s up there with Alternate facts, remember how we laughed at that one.

@Kirwan I agree TDS is a thing but also a lot of Trump fanbois use it as the rebuttal to any criticism of Trump and then go strangely quiet when the "thing" turns out to be true. Or get even louder coz ...
There's two types of Trump Derangement. Also those that are swayed by anything he says if he says it loudly and often enough. I guess because they are so invested.
All this ballot rigging shit is so predictable. Trump's been stirring the pot for months.
I'm not saying everything is above board although the balance of probability suggests it is - based upon Republicans saying Trumps making it up as well as democrats. What I do know is he's already been to the Supreme Court over postal ballots once and got shot down - so he's being true to form.

Well it's explained in the rest of the post. I wasn't his biggest fan, but I also saw the good things he did. I'd say I was more supportive of him than the vast majority of Australians.

@Crucial hey! bone spurs are a real thing... if you actually have them that is
Yep:
"The Times reported that a Queens podiatrist who rented office space from Fred Trump, the president’s father, might have given the president his diagnosis as a courtesy to his father."Never had surgery, just fixed itself apparently.

Politico thinks its pretty much all over

@Winger You can't ask for evidence and then simply post links to right wing organisations that have a history of parroting everything Trump alleges.
Oh sorry yes you can. You just did. Like always.
I agree if there's electoral fraud it should be prosecuted but as yet there is no evidence of any and posting extremely dubious sources doesn't advance your argument one jot - it discredits it.
-
If Trump doesn't want to wait for the votes to be counted, why should the Dems wait for this "Evidence"

That reminded me of "Baghdad Bob" the Iraqi "information" minister. He always cracked me up. Alternate facts and fake new are we used to call, "lies", which seemed to work O.K.

I'm willing to wait and see. You seem to have already made your mind up
And right wing organisations? As opposed to the mostly (honest and fair?) left wing media
