He just hasn't been able to link up with his team mates after those runs.

@mikedogz well said , stoked for Counties , thought Read was superb with his little touches and his leadership for what is a young CM team was crucial ..thought the catalyst for the win was their D playing into the wind in the first half and then bench in the 2nd half ..Read can head off to Japan as the champion that he is.
I do wonder sometimes if winning the shield is can be a curse especially once you have lost it ..getting back on the horse seems to be a challenge for some teams . -

This is pretty much the same group of guys that were very poor last season.

Loved the emotion from the CM boys after Read won that penalty. Naki certainly had their chances in all that extra time camped in the 22.

@ACT-Crusader Taranaki lacked a bit of leadership at the end. Not sure why they tapped it when Counties still had a man in the bin.
