I watched the game vs USA and was pleasantly surprised with our stoic defence (until the last play)
Just refused to let the USA do anything meaningful with the ball, and managed to keep Perry Baker out until the very last second.
Had Rasta ref not been sat on his arse in the 2nd half, we would have scored another try. But hey.
A bloody good effort without any real stars and an aging DJ Forbes..

Interesting team selections by Tietjens. He seems to be now using Baker as the no.1 halfback and Mikkelson spends most of his time in the backs again. When Timmy did pack down a scrum the Samoans nearly won the ball against the feed. Obviously Tietjens is still tinkering with combinations and will need to incorporate the Super players again in May.

I think Titch is playing with ideas a bit and not forecasting his Olympics gameplan too much either.
 
He was very keen on Pulu for a while and using a sniping halfback. Will be interesting to see how much Ben Lam's withdrawal affects the plan.
