Kings v Chiefs
-
Time to go to bed, assuming this one has been put to sleep.

Still not 100% convinced about the Chiefs up front. We'll struggle because of it - because outside that we look good. Cruden, Mckenzie, midfield good..

Btw: hello to the hot Kings trainer!! -

Agree, he looks easy to understand and rules the sand both ways. Good enough for me. -

I would be happy if I was a Chiefs fan. It's hard to be perfect against such poor opposition but they got the job done. I thought the tight 5 got better as the game went on but still a concern.

Yeah, handling and contro; a slight concern but lesser teams can drag you down and it is only March

Crusaders and Canes should have these Kings games at home sown up by halftime though
-

I watched the first twenty minutes but after a long day, couldn't stay up any later for a messy game like that. Great to wake up to that scoreline though, coming away from this fucked up tour with 5 points would be good enough IMO. Just can't see us beating the Jaguares at home with this kind of schedule.

How did Moli and Tucker go?
-

I thought the ref was very good. He reminded me of Joubert with his communication to the players.

I recorded the game and watched it this morning. The Chiefs' kickoff receptions weren't very accurate but I wonder if the large shadow across the field was part of the problem.

Barnes and Hoeft still have some work to do with the forwards but I thought the scrum was OK considering 3 of the first choice T5 aren't playing (4 if you include Hika from the starting XV). Seu impresses me more with every game, in fact the loose forward trio all played well.

As mentioned earlier, Cruden needs to start goal kicking if he wants to be considered as the AB 1st 5. Ngatai showed those subtle touches of class like Conrad with his ability to find space where it appears there isn't any and provides a good kicking option.

An interesting final decision by Leitch to kick at goal. It helps the PD. 5 pts banked.
