Kings score via Maul.

17-27 at half time.

AFMon is right, kickoff time is killing the Chiefs.

They should have far to much for the Kings, who look good around the set piece and maul.

I had expected a higher score for the Chiefs by now. Are they really making so many mistakes, or is the officiating?

If Aaron Cruden wants to come back into the All Blacks, shouldn't he do some of the goal kicking? He isn't even trying?

I'd like to say a little from column a and a little from column b, but actually the ref is pretty good. Chiefs' mistakes and Kings' set piece/maul are what makes the game closish.

Beautiful try to Ngatai after a good ball from Cruden.

Far easier than it should have been.

17-34 after 44.

A wee glimpse of Cruden/Ngatai combo for an easy looking try

Think Chiefs will rock up 100 (seriously). Not so much because Chiefs are great but more that Kings = Horowhenua with a set piece

Chiefs score on a break out and suddenly things might get ugly.

Missed tackles and didn't look like the kings were that interested..

17-41 after 46.

Nah not 100 but could get 70 unless the parking wardens intervene

note: I'm being churlish - refs are very "accurate" and demanding but entirely consistent and the crowd is bigger than appears because people ain't dumb enough to look into the sun (camera positioning)

No 100, but that kick after the penalty certainly made them look 2nd division..

I think they need to focus on their kicking game, they'll survive via set piece, if anything...

Y'know, Mckenzie is fucking accurate at 15 on defense.its not often that he doesn't at least slow down break outs.

Even as a Chiefs fan, I didn't think he was an All Black in waiting, but..

Taimanivalu runs down and saves a try. I think.

Just lacking the basic handling and poise. It's a beautiful day, they should be nailing this stuff

    Cane scores.

Maybe I'm nuts, but it looks like the kings actually respect the offside line, which is hurting them. Chiefs make really easy meters around the ruck, mainly because the Kings are back and slow on coming forward.

24-48 after 62.

    Hold on.

No, they are div 2 - can't handle the kick to the ingoal and Chiefs have a 5 meter scrum...

Their coach gave it away a bit at halftime too "we want leave the rucks and have 13 men on our feet"
