FFS, Baker is on. His agent must be the best in the business because he clearly has a must play every game clause in his contract.

That’s a bad agent. The more he plays currently , the less likely he gets more work

I'm assuming this has to be his final year,

Has Ash Dixon turned into the biggest whinge in NZ rugby? Don’t ever recall this when he’s captained the Maori or the Highlanders.

We've done well to keep that aspect of his Cantab upbringing dialled down but he's clearly getting frustrated with the randomness of the reffing in the NPC this year and his muscle memory has kicked in. 😉

Excellent play by Fomai to score in the corner after a kick through.

Booth, who just got a growling from the ref injured himself badly in the tackle. Looks like he'll be stretchered off. He's had a much better game today than the time I saw him for the Canes play the equal worst game by a halfback on McLean park.

    40 - 12

Was that the finger he was doing? I just thought he was raising his hand to acknowledge the crowd.

He's a ginga so I guess it should be expected he'd be constantly angry.

Yes. Riled up by Baker, had a tantrum and then got told off by the responsible adult with the whistle. Made a shit tackle attempt and got injured. Followed it up with that. What a twat.

In a game when the team won 47-12 it almost seems a bit churlish, but the Magpies played crap - as Dixon is noting in his captains speech.

Everyone was crap in this game, the Pies were crap, the Poo were crap after their early defence, and Bryiant was crapply random.

Magpies organisation in attack is very good. Even when the opposition get a bit of a roll on, once they get the ball back they are quick to realign and support players in motion.

Some good coaching they’ve got going on.

In the end, a big win for the good guys! Great game from Makene, who surely should get the start next week as well! Just drop Baker completely, please (he doesn't contribute anything positive)! Fakatava and McClutchie also impressive. Flanders and Parsons outstanding in the pack; good impact IWL.

I wouldn't mind at all if both Lowe and Fomai start next week, with Visinia taking place on the bench.

Sad (despite him being a prick) to see Jamie Booth going off with what looked like a serious injury. The Canes may have a problem ...

Terrible refereeing from Briant at times; when he disallowed Evans' try, he should just have given a penalty try. Fortunately, we scored soon after.

One piece of bling locked into the cupboard for another year; the Shield for two more weeks.

This is a great example of why I like those Hastings Boys' combos in our squad so much. Fakatava - McClutchie - Toala. That kick from McClutchie was perfect.
