@Tim I think Waikato and Canterbury will have a better chance of reaching the semis than Wellington, but it's possible. Also don't write off Ta$man just yet.

Still a close comp imo. No clear favourite in the Premiership.

@Stargazer Going to be interesting as the season closes, no doubt. Harbour could well upset Auckland.

@Tim You'll understand that I'm just as - or even more - interested in what happens in the Championship. 🙂

Some big games coming up at the back end of the competition so the top 4 could change a lot. I expect Ta$man to be there at the end.

@Stargazer Fair play! You guys look like you'll be favs!

BTW, James Parsons mentioned Flanders as a possible bolter for the All Blacks wider travelling group to Australia.

@Tim It would surprise if that's the case, considering who are already there. I think someone like Boshier has a better chance, but it would be an awesome experience for Flanders, if true. I've no doubt he'll be an All Black in the next year or two.

The coaches seem to give wings (NMS, Reece) and loosies (The Tongan, Jacobson) meteoric rises to the ABs so it could happen.

I'm torn, don't want it for the Magpies, but would be good for him.

Just as long as they don't take our beautiful boy Choat. 😉

Choat was good today, but can't say I've noticed him enough to know whether he'd be in the frame.

@Stargazer I'm picking Wellington to make the top four as they only have to play one more prem side in Ta$man and that's at their home away from home in Porirua.

Anything can eventuate when you take into account the prem games to come:

Canterbury still have BOP, Auckland, Ta$man after their game against Waikato tomorrow.
Ta$man sill have Wellington and Canterbury
Auckland still have Waikato, North Harbour and Auckland
Waikato have Auckland and BOP after their game against Canterbury tomorrow.

This must be the closest finals run for some time.

He is very good but I'd prefer Tom Robinson.

The Premiership is wide open this season. All the contenders have had a few iffy performances.

In past seasons you could see who the clear favorite was, but I don't see one this year.

@Canes4life Wellington also has to play Hawke's, for a likely RS challenge. That will be as difficult as playing a Prem team with the shield on the line.

Hi guys, I'm making an injury list for next year's Super Rugby.

At the moment, I'm trying to list all 2020/2021 SR players with long-term injuries that have ruled them out for the entire Mitre 10 Cup season, the remainder of the Mitre 10 Cup season and/or may rule them out for at least part of the 2021 SR season. I currently have the following players on my list; who am I missing? It has been proven hard to follow all the injuries in Mitre 10 Cup. Can you help?

    Blues
    Ray Niuia (knee)
    James Parsons (concussion?)
    James Tucker (knee)

    Chiefs
    Laghlan McWhannell (knee)
    Solomon Alaimalo (shoulder)
    Atu Moli (both hips)
    Nathan Harris (rotator cuff)
    Aiden Ross (knee)

    Crusaders
    Ethan Blackadder (knee)
    George Bridge (pectoral injury)
    Braydon Ennor (ACL)
    Manasa Mataele (pectoral tear)

    Highlanders
    Connor Garden-Bachop (back) ??
    Sam Gilbert (ACL)
    James Lentjes (ankle)
    Parpari Parkinson (knee)
    Thomas Umaga-Jensen (shoulder)

    Hurricanes
    Fraser Armstrong (knee?)
Possibly disappearing from this list soon: Ngani Laumape (forearm)

    Without contract?
Tei Walden (ruptured his achilles tendon)

    Aiden Ross (??)

As per earlier in this thread, he had knee surgery.

James Tucker (knee) is also out for the Blues.
