Current standings, with two more rounds to go in pool North, and a bye and one round to go in pool South: -
Northland ran up another cricket score today 77-3 against Taranaki, with Portia Woodman scoring a record 6 tries!
We need beat BOP with a bonus point next week and hope the Waikato ladies beat Auckland and deny them a bonus point, which will put us in equal 2nd with Auckland on 21 points.
Not sure what the tie breaker is to get into the semis, we have a far better points differential, but they just beat us in the round robin game.....
Anyway an outstanding season from the Kauri, they’ve got some absolute superstars in the team.
If you want to see one of the best ever tries by a prop (ever, in all rugby), check out Krystal Murray’s try, it was something an outside back would be proud of!

Counties now second on points differential after beating Taranaki 107 to 3, wanting Waikato to beat Auckland and Auckland not getting a bonus point.
Northland are now second after their 32-0 win over BOP but Auckland advances.

@Gunner This year was different in more than one way, because of Covid.
There was the lopsided North-South format, but also some teams having a huge advantage because of the addition of one or more Black Ferns 7s players to their squad, while others didn't get any. That's why I think it would be much fairer if they used last years rankings for next year's draw.
Last year, it was Otago that deservedly won the Championship, while Manawatu got relegated. (Northland finished fourth, by the way).
