Your mob need to send Brad Scott packing back to Geelong. It would be unbearable if Geelong make the GF.

Boilover. Collingwood go to Perth and beat the Weagles by a point. Not many saw that coming.

It’s pretty unbearable from the Pies fans last night and today.

Eagles haven’t been great this year at all, but still a very good win for an inconsistent Pies team.

Last night outta shut the Magpie scumbags up. What a fucking trouncing.

I didn’t see the game but cox has to be the most hot and cold player in the league

When he is on , he is unstoppable, 20 feet tall , marking everything, kicking straight ,

then he is invisible for The best part of A season before pulling out a massive game out of his arse again .

We copped the best of him in that prelim in 18 , we simply had no answer , did a similar job on west coast last week

@kiwiinmelb was pretty hard for Cox last night to have much impact when the Pies midfield and halfbacks were getting absolutely monstered. Cats just dominated the hard ball gets. Cox copped a nasty knee in the 3rd.

Doesn't say what the cause of death was, but the police have said the death wasn't suspicious and referred it to the Coroner, and the end of the article has Lifeline etc, so one can probably infer suicide. Awful news.

My 14yo teenage daughter who plays AFL came and spoke to me this afternoon about this after it hit the Aussie news. Her immediate question to me was, how did she die dad? So it was good to be able to discuss this with her, how the media report things and about suicide.

Port v Richmond tonight. Huge game. I still think if Richmond reach their best, they'll be too good for anyone left. The question is, can they?

Port are still pretty under rated i reckon. They've come top in the H&A, beat Geelong pretty well, are sitting pretty in the prelim all rested, and at home, the bookies have them as favourites, but i still think most people expect them to lose. They have good, hard working midfielders who are bruisers, potent forwards led by Dixon who is smashing packs and bringing the smalls in to the game, and yet... i still think Richmond take it. The Tigers, when they are on, take your game away from you. The emergence of Bolton as a genuine attacking threat is pretty big as you can't put all your eggs in the "stop Dusty" basket. It's just, if the game is on the line, can they go to the well again?

my concern, as a tiger ,

port might just want it more ,

its a been a weird mixed year for richmond on and off the field ( like a lot of us i guess ) , but not sure things are 100 percent rosy right now like 19 and 17 , but I might be reading that wrong . they just seem too easily frustrated when things arent going well where they used to seem composed .

I'm wondering if home town advantage ain't the story of the weekend

Man these 2 games are a coin toss.

Good though, bloody great the way the AFL ( and queensland) rescued the season

Even contest to start. Port probably created more opportunities in the first, but not much in it.

After 3 quarters of barely playing, nice to see a bit of endeavour from both sides in the 4th.

It was an intense finish, but the conditions were extremely tough and it almost turned into a soccer match.

Weird how low scoring footy has become

    Interesting game tactically

Ports whole game is built around clearances ,number 1 in the competition, They like to move it forward and press up heaps of numbers to trap it in their front half , Richmond Aren’t really traditionally a clearance team, they rely on pressure , turnover and counter attack ,

In that second half they went out and beat them in clearances 28-9 , took away their mojo , Beating them at their own game In the wet weather

Port have been great this season and would have been worthy grand finalists

Are they still playing shortened quarters? May have a bearing?

@booboo yeah I think so. Mostly it's the footy fan equivalents of us rugby fans talking about how the current strategy is to bring everyone behind the ball when defending so that when the ball gets turned over there's no one to pass it to in an attacking position.
Something like that boo, but I don't know enough and am hung over to fuck!

How is it that one beer in the pub is equal to 2 or 3 at home?
