Any comment on Jones' counter-ruck? I didn't think you are allowed to take out the halfback when he isn't part of the ruck. Plenty of random calls at the breakdown in this game.

The loose forward balance is off. In this game 3 of the 4 loosies play the same role and are similar size/shape (Gibson, Choat, Jones)

Kirifi just got penalised for what looked identical to what happened.

@Duluth Exactly right. It's unlike an Auckland side to not have that big bruising loose forward we're used to. Now we're full of solid toilers.

@African-Monkey Sione Tuipulotu is that guy with Akira and Sotutu away. Interesting to see if he gets back on the bench this week or if Jones gets another crack.
