I got a inexpensive Oppo with a big battery, I never knew what a luxury it was to have a battery that lasted all day and then some. Battery will always be one of my main considerations in the future.

It the best part of the big phones, big batteries. Also, I found the watch has made my phone last longer as I don’t have to use it as much for notifications, time, etc.

The best use I found for my Garmin watch is the "find my phone" function 🤣 because I'm an absent-minded old coot.

Seriously though it got a bit annoying having it buzz every 5 minutes until I figured out how to , but you're right in that you can quickly decide whether something is worth attending to or not. The Garmin obviously doesn't have the sophistication the Apple Watch does, but battery life is good.

How long do you go between charges on the Apple Watch? Has it improved with each model?

I’m on series 3, and it could last two days with my usage. They add more features each version and try to keep the battery constant. So basically one day of heavy usage

    Great gadget.

Love the iOS update that allows you to watch a video while still using other apps on your phone. Game changer

Talking about Disney + etc obviously...

Apple's iPhone 12 NZ pricing, no charger or headphones included

At least Apple has realised that as their phones are getting closer to the size of an iPad there is a market for a 'mini' with the full suite of tech.
I brought a SE to get the size I like but this new 'mini'12 is tempting.

    Cheers for the video.

That's good enough flashing lights and shiny things to make me want to buy it!

Purely on aesthetics, the move back to flat sides is an improvement

Certainly, if you don't use a case of sorts.
For me the case is in daily use for protection and grip. Would only take it off to smarten up look at a 'dress up' type occasion.
I don't know too many people that carry their phone around as born.

Even then a slim case on a round edged phone just doesn't feel as solid to me - personal preference.

My daughter railed against putting a case on her iPhone. I got her a standard one from the reseller and then the wife bought 2 others just in case 🙄

Daughter is clumsy. I don't get it - she does dancing and is one of the best up there, but just randomly drops shit

I used to until I became adept at dropping them. My pixel 4 has a low dimension case so not too bad. Irony is I have a spare I don't need while this case works...

As a side issue (for apple users mainly), I am late to the party on AirPods but what a well designed product!
I would say that functionally they are one of the best new things apple has produced in ages. They hark back to the old claims of 'it just works'.
Audiophile arguments aside they are stable, connect instantly, are super easy to set up (10 secs out of the box). The microphone design is top notch.
I only got some to help with the amount of skype/teams calls I have to do now and they are now indispensable.
My only dislike is that they still look like you have cotton buds sticking out of your ears but thats a design trade off for the mic design/quality I guess (I have tried some of those totally in ear ones and you have to talk louder, especially when outside)

🙂 I like the rounded edges, Aesthetically, but no matter as I always have in a case.

And to look like a right prick, I get a custom Sena case with my initials embroided in.

My AirPods have left the box once. Much prefer the old cable jobs and less chance for me to lose them.

I will admit that the shape of them doesn't suit everyone's ears snugly. I have never felt like they were going to fall out.
Other than that, given that you drop them back in the charging case after using surely you would only lose them by being slack?

Definitely, I'd probably lose the charging case as well.
