Not bad for a first tournament. Showed some good skills, as well as rookie mistakes. Just like his mate SBW, still lots to learn.
-

NZ have USA and England in their pool for Canada 7s. Tough challenge just to get out of the pool based on USA 7s.

England lost to Japan and were pummeled by Oz. -
Why did we play 3 days?

Is Vancouver 3 days as well or the usual 2? -

Sydney could be moving to 3 days next year. Three shorter, punchier sessions of 6-7 hours rather than two 10 hour days.

Makes a bit of sense and would mitigate some of the grog issues they had this year.
-

You could have made that shorter by saying "fucked if I know".

Three days is following the same program as the Olympics.

Yeah I get that. But why this tournsment specifically and not the others?

I could see a different, bigger team selected if they were more consistently 3 days. -

They wouldn't play any more games though over the three days, so why the need for a bigger squad? -

I think he means larger players not larger squad.

The suspicion is that Titch is playing with options and gameplans in the lead up to the Olympics with the likely result being a squad with some big units (and opportunists) to break the line then use players like Lam/Ioane down the tramlines where they can bust through to open space.

The 3 day thing means more recovery which opens up a power game.
-
Yeah sorry. Bigger players due to longer recovery time
