You mean how long till the players throw a game resulting in his sacking ?
Just like they did with Matt Elliott.

how will we tell if they are throwing the game or trying? it all looks the same pretty much.

Crazy round. And quite the casualty ward for round 1 as well. Paul Gallen is sweating pretty hard, if the scans aren't good news, it might be the end.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. The Warriors are uncoachable. I don't know why anyone takes the job, it's a graveyard.

Daniel Anderson found a way to coach them, until he fell out with the teams best player and on field organiser. I wasn't a huge fan of Ivan but he could get them focused when needed.

Other than that ....

The most annoying thing for about the Warriors is that they never seemed to have an bodies in motion in attack. It was always just the guy taking the hit up and maybe the guy next to him. You'll never create chances outside of individual brilliance if you don't keep the opposition guessing and you'll reduce the chances of individual brilliance.

Looks like Gallen will only miss 6-8

Sutton will miss 4 months with a ruptured pec. Reynolds with a fractured jaw will be out for a couple as well.

Jordan Kahu will miss a month with a calf. James Segeyaro from the Panthers will miss 6-10 with a broken arm. And there are a few waiting on follow-up scans.

Brutal weekend.

ah, the old "too many pollies" chestnut. Lowe is a fuckwit of the highest order.

Something is seriously wrong in that organisation though, the players change, but the outcomes are all remarkably similar, so what is the underlying, ever present factor?

Why do players go there and get worse? Why do they often look like they aren't trying? Why are their fundamental skills often lacking? Why is their execution (and often, plan) so ordinary? And that's no matter who's name is on the door of the coaches office.

Sack the coaches, sack the players, sack the sausage sizzle guy..... and you know what, we still have the same Warriors capable of unbelievable footy, but then can easily implode and play stuff U15s would beat down.

It's hard to put your finger exactly what the 'problem' is. But it does have an all too familiar start to the season. The game on Saturday alone is a microcosm of Warrior rugby for the past 5 years.

Lack of aggression is the problem. It has been mentioned before. Gordon Tallis, maybe two seasons ago, said the one thing teams hate is when the Warriors run at them hard but the Warriors in recent years seem to just pass the ball along the line.

Watching the Tigers game there was no running hard (bar Gavet and Thompson) or bringing the defence to the Tigers. Brendan McCullum needs to have a chat with this team regarding the idea of throwing the proverbial kitchen sink.

Storm beat Dragons in a bore-fest on MNF.

When Mannering is your hardest running backrower when the team runs out on then you might actually be right.

Gavet was great. Thompson has been a revelation for the Warriors on the edges but he's on my shit list for choosing a boxing match over the Kiwis.

But, the Warriors have been shedding aggressive hard runners for a while now in a quest (IMHO) to be more structured.

Not sure that Lowe can be accused of being racist.

Seems like he had a strong affinity with his players

“Aussie coaches were in your face, talking a million miles an hour and would humiliate you in front of your team-mates,” says Filipaina. “Lowey was different, he did the little things that made you comfortable and trust him.” Prior to the decision to tactical switch, Lowe did something extraordinary. He called his secret weapon in Auckland; Olsen’s late mother Sissie. Lowe explained the challenges Olsen faced in Lewis and tried to get her buy in. “No coach will ever have as much power as a mother and she is the best judge of what he is capable of,” Lowe said explaining his strategy. “If Sissie had even the slightest doubt, I wouldn’t have shifted him.”

All buckled in for the Broncos game. They've gotta be better than last week, surely?
Read something somewhere on the interweb, Matty Johns thinks the Warriors need to play more direct up the middle of the park, and revolve their game plan around Luke.... That was something I asked last week - where are the trademark Issac Luke dummy half darts?

And something that I don't buy is the excuse that the combo of Luke, Johnson & RTS needing time to gel.
Bullshit!
They play together for the Kiwis, and they've gone pretty bloody well lately, with those three a big part of that!

No excuses, just do the bloody business!
