He was crucial to the clubs success and keeping his other brothers at the club while they were performing.

Actually you need to look to management to understand why the brothers were kept. Certainly the coach didn't want the donkeys.

At the time George had a significant impact on their grand final win, Tom and Luke were clearly part of a "keep Sam at the club" deal. Then George also lost form as well and coaches were scrambling to get them off the books. Overpaid behemoths who were not versatile enough for faster forward game

@bayimports Yes they were kept on to appease Sam. The Burgess twins were at the limit of their skills catching and holding the ball. Overpaid clowns who should've been donating half their salary to their brother.

Harsh on Tom I feel as he has really stood up this year. Him and Tatola have been brilliant for the Rabbits up front, but yes, in the past Tom and George's hands have really let them down.

WTF? How did the Warriors not resign him, and how is he only getting a one year contract at the Titans?

Edit: Is this confirmed anywhere? I couldn't find anything on a web search.

Haven’t seen it in official channels but the insta feed It was from has been pretty reliable.

He finished nicely but I suspect between Fus, Pompey and Ken they have wingers covered for what they can afford. My guess anyway.

Won’t be by top team, but if they play the way they finished the year plus adding new players, should be fun to watch! Building a good squad

@bayimports He's not really a wing, despite the fact they kept playing him there this year, he's a centre who performed well when he had a season there. But I guess they just bought a "big name" centre so he's a casualty.

@bayimports Yeah some good middle forwards coming through for them. I assume they'll move Fifita closer to the ruck instead of hanging out on an edge like he did at Brisbane and they'll use him like Taumalolo? If Cam Smith went there for a season or 2 they'd be damaging. Even Harry Grant or someone, they're a good 9 away from being a threat imo.

It was signalled in August that Herbert was playing for his future and might not have his contract renewed.

He had to many defensive issues at centre and why under Payten he was shifted to the wing, also why they looked to buy Aitken who is certainly not noted as an attacking centre but one who was very impressively defensively. Doesn't mean he can't become a centre again, just didn't work out for us.

Since Cam Smith has brought property about 10 minutes from Robina, if he decides to go around one more year, then Titans should be pushing hard for it. Be stupid not to ask him at least. If you add a decent nine, you're right, their spine would be insane.

They could use Fifita like Taumalolo and because he is so talented could work, but he is so young and damaging on the edge, I would be surprised if they bring him into the middle. I guess it depends on who is fit at the time, but I would keep him on the edge myself.

@bayimports Will be interesting with Fifita, I'd like to see him used like Taumalolo but then again they might wanna ease him in there and start him off wider. At the same time, if they're throwing all that money at him, they'll want him involved as much as possible. Either way it's exciting times for the Titans.

Going to be an interesting elimination final Roosters v Raiders, both very good teams. Big Papa is made for league, what a start by the Raiders!

If Keary doesn’t come back it could be game over already, although I am sure Raiders fans would hate me to kiss of death them. Losing Keary would be huge..

Will add, even with Keary back on, Raiders dominating so far. Looking the goods so far

@bayimports The Roosters have looked off since kickoff. They're getting done through the middle so far, a usual strength of the Roosters.

For a young player, Radley was a massive loss for them.

Finally a law in league that's better than rugby. At least those boofheads know that you can't jump from outside the sideline!
