Melbourne are alive after beating Essendon. I only saw parts as it clashed with Taranaki burgling the Shield, but it appears we made what should have been a comfortable win, a bit dicey.

I'll be cheering on Freo tomorrow night and hopefully at this time tomorrow (2249) Melbourne are in the finals.

    Yep.

Bulldogs v Freo and Pies v Port matches will determine who’s we play in week 1.

Not looking good a few mins into the fourth quarter. Would rather turn it off and dream of a late Freo comeback getting the Dees into the finals.

Oh well, we didn't really deserve to go through based on some of the losses we suffered. Hopefully a season to build on for next year.

so...the swans season ends with a whimper, probably for the best as far as draft picks, hopefully less injuries, a few good signings and the blooding our young squad has got this year will mean a better season next year

Was going to mention that at least we won a trophy this year. Formed of timber and shaped like a piece of cutlery, but it comes with draft picks.

    Yay us.

@ACT-Crusader the more i read that, the more i think the AA selectors are fucking idiots with massive blindspots

Collingwood have been fucking ordinary considering they have 4 of the best players in the comp this year

    No Gold Coast players? None?

Melbourne, Collingwood and the Bulldogs won 28 games between them, finished 7, 8, and 9, and yet contribute 10 of the best 40 players in the comp this year? top work selectors.

Brisbane, Port and Richmond won 40 games, finished 1, 2, and 3, and contribute 11.

@mariner4life yep. Startling tunnel vision from the selectors.

A number of those Pies and Demons wouldn’t make my 22.

Gawn wouldn’t make mine but Petracca would. Petracca has had an excellent season.
