Brumbies v Waratahs
-

I think the Tahs are going to get smashed at the scrum, and I'm told young Sandell comes from the "good around the park" school of Aussie props, which surprises me, because I didn't know we had any other schools.

However, there are a shitload of Wallabies running around this Friday night, so its got a lot of potential for a decent game with a few youngsters and foreign johnnies thrown in.

Ruck will be keenly contested, and with Cubelli at scrumhalf for the Ponies and Phipps for the Tahs, it'll be fairly active in the backs.

OR it could just be a fucking shitfest like a lot of Aussie derbies. I'd like to drive down to Canberra for a look, but can't because work.
-

I see Marto was on your bandwagon Nick about guys who kill the ruck. And, in a break from tradition for Marto, he singled out the Aussie teams as the worst, especially the Reds. Wants cards given early for guys who deliberately kill the ball. His idea is a 5min bin for ruck infringements, but give them more readily.

Ponies should get this i reckon, that's a really good side they have there, and based on last week, they've hit the ground running.
-

He's like a fucking alcoholic - moments of lucidity.
-
Can they both lose please?
-
Making hard work of this game - need to keep 15 on the field.
-

Tahs hung in there well, but were overrun in the last 10 minutes.

Positives for both sides. The Brumbies may live up to the hype this year.

Don't get why Tahs fans are so down on this team. I think we're a definite finals chance this year, and I haven't seen anything to prove otherwise thus far. Plenty of rust, sure, but that's the case every year.
-
Scrappy game. Tahs did well to hang in there. That Holloway is a good talent. Skelton hasn't kicked on. Brumbies made it hard. Taavao was same old Taavao, Guildford was quiet/non threatening. Phipps was good.

For Brumbies Pocock was quiet (maybe gunshy?). Cubelli was sharp early but too many box kicks. That Alaalatoa (sp?) was impressive. Great final try to Ah Wong. -

Just read that Horne is okay and will be able to play against the Highlanders. Tahs already had a few injuries, hadn't they? Foley?
