@shark i like May. He's a unit who runs around and likes to hurt people.
Yep, but didn't have the desired impact when pushed forward. Love him on defence though.

Demons are cooked. After a very good performance against the Saints and Petracca looking like a top 5 player in the league, they have slumped to two bad losses and won’t make the 8.
You shuddup.

And the Dees live again because there is something completely rotten at GWS. That club just cannot figure it all out. They have talent everywhere, and serious talent, but they just can't get themselves to be a complete package.
They made a GF 12 months ago, and got absolutely flogged. They should be hungry as hell, but they just don't seem to have the drive.
-
We've got GWS on Saturday night so I reckon I'll watch that on the big screen (as opposed to ipad in bed tonight) and annoy the shit out of the wife if we play well with some yelling and stuff.
how did i miss this? Two pea-hearted outfits "battling" it out to make the 8.
I'm backing the draw. With a late shot at goal to win it missing.
-
Yeah no idea what's going wrong at GWS. That said Adelaide actually look pretty decent at the moment, a long way from the guaranteed 4 points they were a few months ago.
In other news, Carlton came back from 37 down to beat the Swans late. A fun sort of game, you could make the argument both teams could have won by 20+.
I'm not sure if the Blues are a good team, but they have a knack of staying in games that in previous years they would have lost comfortably. For all the talk of Tom Papley or Zac Williams I think the team is in desperate need of another ball-winner in midfield, to complement Cripps and Walsh.

Blues are definitely better than they have been, so any sort of improvement must be good for their fans.
They are only a couple of kicks away from being in teh 8 if you look at their results
Sydney are definitely showing signs of growth. And you are right, Adelaide have actually played pretty well for the past month.
Bad signs for a few clubs that are going backwards.

Maybe, but on the flipside they are also a few kicks away from being 15th. So many of their games have come down to the wire, and they have won more of those than they have lost.
I don't think they have the class at the moment to be a future contender. Some nice youngsters, but they need another couple of pieces to truly matter.

oh no, i agree, I'm not bullish on them at all. But after years of battling the Suns for teh spoon, i reckon they are entitled to be at least a little bit happy
-
@mariner4life That's fucked. Speaking for the Dees, they're a relatively young side with a couple of holes, trying to build combinations, prone to incredibly inconsistent performances and still scratching around the cusp of the 8. Their biggest issue is one week they can make getting it into their forward 50 look like child's play, and the next it's damn near impossible.
-
Good to see the Lions give the Suns a decent touch up, despite GC getting kissed on the dick by the umpires.
A couple of guys who have been down on form had good runs as well.
Problem was 3 injuries in the first half. Can't afford that shit at the moment, especially with Andrews in the stands until deep in to finals (should be get that far).
I love Fages too. He has the same reactions as me to stuff. I blow up at the TV, he blows up at the field.
-
biggest Home and Away game of the season? Tigers need to win. Geelong need to get another monkey off their back. 1 game each after this until finals.
-
Yeah is a big game , Geelong have the better form and deserve the favoritism , we have troubled them in recent history in big games, but they do appear to have a harder edge about them this year though .
We lose we finish the home and away out of the 4 , ordinary form earlier in the season will come back to bite us on the arse if that is the case .
-
Tough conditions last night. We got killed in the latter part of the 4th qtr by Nic Nat clearance work and Gaff’s work rate.
Us bombing into 50 aimlessly didn’t help either.
-
That was a dominating performance by the Tigers. Now just sweating on the injury reports.
-
So if we beat GWS tonight we do ourselves a massive favour and draw level with them on points, possibly in eighth spot, and then GWS have a tough final game. But it's the Bulldogs who are also a game ahead of us who are the bigger problem as they finish with two games against opponents below them on the ladder. Ultimately we just need to win two games and hope the Dogs drop one or two and it'll come down to percentage.

Terrible game and I fear for the finals
Hard to see the Tigers not marching to the flag now
-
Two very good defensive sides which made it very tight ,
Can Understand the neutrals not enjoying it , but with a team involved I enjoyed the Fierceness of the contest,
I still think the shorter quarters don’t help the fatigue factor playing it’s part in the games breaking open
Soldo a massive loss , he has battled on alone in the ruck all year , nankervous finally makes it back To help him out , then soldo goes down with an acl, cruel blow for him ,
We seem to be inside Geelongs heads
-
Helluva game between the Dees and GWS last night. Probably the best set of goals scored all season including some absolute rippers. JB put it well after a really good goal was scored when he said Baker had two great goals and neither was in the top two for the night. And that was only in Q2.
We're back in the 8 - albeit possibly temporarily - on percentage. Now I'll be barracking hard for other results to go our way.
-
Well the Dogs won so now we're back in 9th and completely reliant on other results, assuming we beat Essendon next week.
Collingwood can move beyond reach with a win in Monday night footy, and even if they don't, they still have a game in hand albeit against Port. But the game tomorrow is against the Gold Coast so you'd think they'd be confirmed in the 8 by around this time tomorrow.
The Dogs have Freo, who sit two games below them on the ladder but assuming we win and have percentage on our side, they'll have all the pressure on them. This is our best chance, unless the Pies somehow lose to the Suns.
At least we're alive until the last round of the season, and possibly the last Sunday of the regular season if we get the win against the Dons.
