Massive penalty kick from New Plymouth. Napier Boys have to be careful not to give away penalties.

    3 - 7 Napier

Oh, is it going to be a game like that. NP wants to win by scoring penalties? Another good kick: 6 - 7 Napier.

    Awfully biased commentary.

The Hastings game still hasn't started, I think.

Lots of handling errors in the Napier game, from both teams.

Unfortunately, Napier's biggest prop, Iafeta Ma'a leaves the field injured.

Afa Moleli scores a penalty goal.

The half time score is New Plymouth Boys 6, Napier Boys 10.

No idea what's happening in Tauranga.

Damn, penalty try for NP and yellow for Jayden Stok for deliberate knock down.

    NP take the lead: 13 - 10.

Great try from the NP number 12. NP making good use of the one-man advantage.

NP lead 18 to 10. Come on Napier!

NP players offside by miles; ref doing nothing.

Oh, when a Napier player is offside, he sees it!

Well-deserved try for Napier. Afa Moleli goes over. He converts his own try.

    NP 25 - 17 Napier

So many penalties given away by NP, but the ref doesn't want to give yellow, apparently.

Try to Napier's Nick Ennor (apparently a cousin of Braydon).

    Not much time left.

    25 - 22 NP

Still no info about the Hastings Boys' game.

In the mean time, St John's Hastings leads 24 - 5 in their CNI 9th place play-off against Francis Douglas MC.

Good news. Hasting Boys finally got their first win of the Super 8 season. They beat Tauranga 10 to 7. It's probably not enough to avoid the wooden spoon, unless the snatch the Moascar Cup off Rotorua next week (assuming it's on the line in a catch-up game).

Unfortunately, Hastings Girls lost 10 - 27 to St. Mary’s College, yesterday, in the semi-final of the Hurricanes Rex Kerr Cup .
