Ironically it was horrible clutch time game management by OKC.
They have a coach who did terrifically well to get them this far this year but is not a coach built for the playoffs.

What was Donovan expecting Adams to do with the ball that far from the basket?
he's been reading Raz's posts and expected a perfect jump shot

@mariner4life what a "kick a man when he's down" guy.
Christ on a bike that was a hard play to watch - Dort I mean. Easily the player of the game till that point.

Doubt that was even the 5th option in Donovan’s playbook.
SGA choked and could’ve made an earlier pass to someone else.
Adams did the right thing given they were about to get a 5 second violation to actually come to the ball when the other options were stuffed.

@raznomore can’t be too hard on Dort for that final play. It took a phenomenal block to get that. Harden does have athleticism. Dort had to rush it given the clock.
And funnily Dort standing on the line actually gave them a chance to win the game. If it had gone the other way, no clock to foul and get ball back.

Big move by GM Sean Marks and the Brooklyn Nets.
Steve Nash is the new head coach of the Brooklyn Nets.
I think it's a good move - Durant loves Nash from Nash's time consulting with the Golden State Warriors.
Either way Nets are going to be a fascinating watch.

@KiwiMurph Nash is potentially a Phil Jackson type coach. In demeanor, I mean as well as having some very left-field ideas.
It will be interesting to see if he and Kyrie mesh.
Apparently Kyrie and KD signed off on him, so you'd assume so. They could be anything next season.

So the big take away from the OKC exit is that Adams is soft and overpaid. TBH in this series, he was bullied by PJ Tucker and he looked soft.
Yes it hurt to write that.
Adams doesn't seem cut out for the modern NBA. He's in the wrong era.

The boy from Rotorua has that big contract fortunately

For a guy with good size and bulk, who is mobile but not rapid, and has soft hands, I thought he would expand his offensive game but he hasn't. Didn’t help that Russ probably didn't leave him many touches. That slam at the start of G7 should have sparked him into a rampage against the Houston midgets. But no

I think had he stayed under the tutelage of Scott Brookes he may have developed more of an offensive game. Donovan inherited a long term project player and has made do with the abilities he already has. I don't doubt there were provisions made for Adams when they signed Donovan and I don't doubt that they tried to get more out of him. But Donovan came in thinking he had a raw centre but 2 bonified superstars in KD and Russ. He wasn't expecting to have him be a major figure in 2 years after signing.
