Yeah, I mentioned that at the start of the thread. Some wanted to move Randell to no.8 so that Joseph was at 6.

6 Randell / 8 Pene is significantly better than 6 Joseph / 8 Randell and also gives your team a much better chance of finishing the match with 15 players

Edit: Otago from 1985-92, Canterbury from 1993-95.

I do remember Brewer holding up the Ranfurly Shield in 1994 when Canterbury beat Waikato at Rugby Park.
