I think if a guy can't represent two teams, then surely the swede-munchers lose Oliver to Manawatu and need another lock. Who were the locks during the RS tenure a few years back? Beckhuis and....?
Rules have been adjusted to 'first province (at first class level).
Stags have first dibs on Oliver

So to start things off:
15 McKechnie
14 Wilson
13 Pokere
12 Alatini
11 Lynn
10 Culhane
9 Marshall
8 Miller
7 Rutledge
6 Dixon
5 Beckhuis
4 Oliver
3 Dermody
2 Flynn
1 MacKintoshSome good steals from other sides there.
-
surely the hooker is the little bald bloke who played about a thousand games for them, and at one point people were saying he should be an AB (but was always way too small)
-
@mariner4life They could have Rutledge or Hall. Flynn was an AB though.

Norm Hewitt is an option too. I would vote against him for the Magpies team purely because he left us for Southland.
-
so, are we saying goldie plays for southland? cooke and timu on the wings for otago?

Goldie is Otago through and through.
Glory years.
-
oh, i agree, but if the rules are first team
ruling @Crucial ?

@dogmeat said in Ultimate NPC: - Southland:
I would have Ken Stewart ahead of Dixon at 6. Natural number 7 but good enough to play at 6 for the AB's.
Both are before my time really so we can make that change.
@Kiwiwomble Yes, the original team gets first selection.

so a guy who plays 7 times for Southland as a 19 year old has to play there despite playing 56 times over 9 years for Otago?
This concept is a sham

@dogmeat said in Ultimate NPC: - Southland:
There has to be an exception to the rule though for Harbour given the NPC had been going for over a decade before they were formed
It's only if a player is claimed by 2 or more teams. Who does NH miss out on?

Unless we want Cooke for the Magpies.

I'm pretty sure that Southland wouldn't leave him out, and they were his first team. He was born in Invercargill, educated in Invercargill and had his first year of NPC for Southland. So I don't reckon Otago through and through.
Which means that Otago can't have him. Two good options there though.

yes, i have such vivid memories of him in a Southland shirt
as opposed to in the Blue of Otago being fucking amazing.
