Haha, handbags? Farrell v Toala. Too bad the camera got it late.

Emil Crichton is taller than I thought. Good turnover there, but Farrell hardly too blame. Rangihuna waited too long. Again.

    Try Antonio Mikaele-Tu'u! McLeod converts. It's 26 - 15 to Hastings.

    Good game to watch.

    That's the half time score.

Toala has been a handful at the beginning of this 2nd half. He's looking so keen.

Syms just said three interesting things:

    • pressured into naming a player who stood out during preseason the last couple of weeks, he mentioned Geoff Cridge.
    • Namatahi Waa is in hospital with a ruptured appendix.
    • Jordan Thompson-Dunn has a high ankle sprain (which limits the number of minutes he plays at the moment)

By the way, Fakatava has come on.

Hastings almost scores, but "held-up". Guildford with the try saver.

    Fakatava's hairdo is outrageous.

Collectively, the Tech forwards are better than the Hastings forwards. In the backs it's exactly the opposite.

Wow, Baker butchered that badly. Catching that high ball didn't look that difficult. Another try to Neria Fomai. Some bad missed tackles from the Tech backs.

Great try from Boswell-Wakefield! That break from former Steamer Te Rangi Fraser (not in the original line-up) was awesome.

Guildford subbed off. Campbell suggesting this was probably the last time of Guildford playing at McLean Park. Retiring?

Try Jason Long. Again great work from Neria Fomai. McLeod's conversion makes it 41 - 20 to Hastings.

Try Tere Joel. Hastings lucky there, because the ref was about to give Tech a penalty try, which probably would have meant a yellow for Hastings and no need for a conversion; the Tech kicker missed the conversion.

Stupid, stupid. Fakatava sent off with a yellow for kicking away the ball. There was no need for that. Toala behaving like a child about 5 minutes ago, too. Grow up lads, we don't want to see that when you're playing for the Magpies.

Ref and TJ guessed. Folou did not kick the ball at all. Bad call

@Stargazer yeah spiked the ball by his feet when the ref blew his whistle and it rolled away
