Watching replay now. Waratahs win the game with a combined total of 20 minutes of good play. <br><br>
Reds looked better at set piece. But I didn't like the scrum selections from Gibson anyway. <br><br>
Apparently Benn Robinson broke his nose so won't play this week against the Ponies. <br><br>
Not that it matters - neither of these teams will beat the Ponies based on last night. -

<p>I missed the game, but see Goromaru scored some points off the bench, which no doubt means that all TV shows will be fellating him repeatedly for the next week. So, people who watched, was he any good?</p>

<p>Little impact from what I saw. The Waratahs seemed to just go through the motions once they got to an early 20-0 lead. Glad we let Ta'avao go from the Blues. Awful scrummager.</p> -

<p>You'd certainly back him to pack some punch coming off the bench</p> -
<p>Wait, why is that useless muppet Graham still coaching the Reds? Weren't they looking for a new coach last year? Was he the only <strike>guy</strike> <strike>human</strike> <strike>mammal</strike> <strike>animal</strike> object in <strike>Australia</strike> <strike>the world</strike> the galaxy who applied or something? I'd take a moon rock as a coach over him.</p>

<p>Thought Zac played pretty well in what was a fairly benign game where the result was never in doubt. The commentators did their best to try and make it sound like there was more to it than it actually was. The Reds have a lot of young talented players but they are a couple seasons away from being a team that can play at a high level together. They may surprise a team or two this year and may 'lift' for the derby matches with Force/Rebels but I see them getting smashed in a few games this year. </p>

<p>But the Reds have had "young, talented players" for a few years now. Under RG they're just going down</p>

<p>It reminds of the years before Link turned up in QLD. Year after year it was "next year" for the Reds. </p>
<p> </p>
<p>They look like they really lack some experience in the backs. Instead of signing Goromaru who is debuting at this level himself and ex leaguie's like Karmichael Hunt (from last year) and the ex-league winger signed for this year, they would have been better off chasing a back or two with strong Super experience.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Stephen Moore as a signing next year in the forwards is a start. </p> -

<p>Also looking forward to Jed Holloway finally getting a run at his preferred position for the Tahs. Only 23, 195cm, 116kg and could be a long-term option as a genuine 8. Decent turn of pace as well. Been around for a couple of years but Palu going offshore has created this opportunity. Will have Dennis and Hoopah for support in the back row, along with Mumm, Skelton, and TPN to shoulder a lot of the work up front.</p>

<p>Cheers for this tip NTA. Put him in my fantasy team as was listed as lock. Scored very well :)</p> -
<p>Yep. Palu is back on the bench this week, so it may have been a passing comet in terms of fantasy rugby scoring. Shame really - I don't know why we've got Palu back who has been a great servant for us, but is hardly going to help with generational change.</p>
