@mariner4life sounds like heaven😁

@kiwiinmelb a lot like the big bash but no daylight savings and warmth!
Doesn't quite work as well eh? -

Phew. I didn't realise we had that game midweek. Solid win. Now we hang about in Adelaide and play North on Sunday. A win in Sunday and we could scrape into the 8, albeit temporarily. This probably indicates an ugly loss to a team below us on the table.
there really is no reason for Melbourne to suck. They have bull midfielders. May is as good a defender as there is (he was huge last night) and Lever is a brilliant #2. Their forwards are okay. They lack a bit of pace in the midfield. I would say they are pretty close to the Lions in most respects, bar maybe Neale being the standout mid over both sides, and Charlie Cameron being a great goal sneak. That would be balanced by Gawn being really fucking good in the ruck.
My multi last night was loaded with Demon players, and luckily a few of them had big 4th quarters.
Yeah there is plenty of talent about the squad. At least 10 of the starting 18 would be starting in most squads. Just not quite putting it together week to week though. Not sure what it is.

@mariner4life I hope you’re happy

This is a good game. Both teams making 2-3 goal runs at a time and momentum going back and forth.
-
That was entertaining game. Both teams played quite similar with the ball in play a lot.
Saints into 2nd on the ladder. Woooohooooo
-
The Dees pulled away from the Roos from the third quarter and eventually won by 57. We did what we needed to do after the Port embarrassment and beat up a couple of teams below us over the last week. I only watched up to 3/4 time as the writing was on the wall and I need my beauty sleep. But I regret not seeing the 7 goal final term, for sure. It was especially encouraging as we'd only just played on Wednesday and didn't have Gawn or Viney. But boy, there's some talent in this side.

you watched the worst part of the game.
very similar to Thursday in the fact the Dees kept the other side in the game, and then hammered them in the final term
West Coast shrugged off a determined Carlton yesterday. They are a very good side, and if the GF is in Perth, will really test Richmond
I picked Port to beat Richmond, mainly because it was the Tigers' 3rd big game in a week. I still think come finals they are going to be hard to put away.
But it does say there are a lot of teams out there who can feel they are a chance this year.
-
@mariner4life That's what you get when the final quarter is from around 9.45pm on a school night. No doubt the final term was the best quarter to watch, but Q3 was entertaining also and it became obvious that the Dees would pull away. In fact I was more likely to watch the final quarter had the result seemed less likely.
