@Chris I hope he goes really well. It's a big call coming north, and leaving the Crusaders.

@nzzp Yes I had a good chuckle at that. Not so fun when the shoe is on the other foot is it Crusaders.

Funny how the anti Crusader brigade are focusing on one line at the end of the article and are ignoring the rest of the quotes that show the Crudaders handling his decision well, publicly at least.

    What like this quote?

"he wasn't willing to stay here and compete, and he's taken another path"

That doesn't read as particularly classy to me.

No worse than I have seen from other professional teams over the years.

Good to see he has re-signed. Has stepped up his game and aggression this year.

@Tim although I hate to say it, he’s probably only one concussion away from hanging his boots up.

I heard Goodhue put on some weight to get up to 120kg, but even with the added weight, he was still able to perform PBs in the fitness tests.

@Steven-Harris which is why I think he has been gun shy, but has had a decent run with his fitness this season (lockdown was probably great for many to deal with niggles) which will help with confidence too

And McCaw too, mid 2000's were tough for him - I think he missed a whole season

Asked to quantify that result, the cagey CEO added: “Ballpark figures mean we will now make a modest profit for the year. And we were facing a substantial loss. We’ve been very lucky.””

Setting the standard for crowd numbers, love it 🙂

Glad I got my tickets early.

Herald has an interesting article on top up payments from third parties. They reckon it was $200k or so for BB, along iwth the commitment to appear in advertising.

I suspect if Blues contributed it was a great investment - having him around gets butts on seats and makes you look credible. That's important to change perceptions of how dysfunctional the franchise has been in recent years.

Great to see the Blues no longer being easy pickings for other franchises. We can't keep everyone, but if we scout smart we can keep the magic in-house

    this aged poorly 😞

I know the feeling, was so amped for this game. Beers with mates at a pub, taking my boy to the game -- and now it'll be re-runs on the couch I fear
