OK, we could have a midday tip off which would be 8pm Eastern Daylight Time. Presumably that means anywhere from Boston to Miami? 2pm NZT would be 10pm. They're probably the best compromises for the marquee games to maximise US ratings.

4pm NZT is 9pm Pacific Daylight Time (Seattle to San Diego I guess). 6pm = 11pm.

So it's possible to play some games at times that would rate well or ok and at good times to attend locally.

Maybe some games tip off early and that's just an adjustment the players need to make, in order to suit US prime time slots. Compared to their crazy travel schedules which ordinarily include compulsory daytime naps, and flights into the early hours of the morning, this probably isn't too much of a chore.

@shark was just listening to thefull48 podcast and all three of them (Howard beck, Zach Lowe and Rachel Nichols) mentioned how some overseas players briefly discussed with the NBA about moving it to their country (didn't say it was Adams) they all said let's move it to NZ as they all wanted to go live there.

Nichols can stay at my mums place I will come back and visit (irrational crush on her...not super hot but I think sports knowledge pushes her up in my hotness).

Imagine if that was NZ's thing for the next few years. The home of sport where we had all the major sports played here through the year broadcast to the world! It would earn us billions.

ESPN island. I think they could genuinely have an ANZ comp to spread the games no huge travel if you ignore Perth. If Melb/Syd get their shit sorted by December. Could have hubs in Aussie/NZ that way you would get consistent ticket sales to games as well. Imagine what it would do for the game globally as well. NBL games as curtain raisers. Combine biggest prospects from G-League with NBL for a hybrid game.

Its funny Rachel >>>> Molly overall IMO. Molly just offers nothing. Love reading youtube comments on videos shes in.

Well done Jaden though, I don't doubt that she offers something in other, hmm, areas.

@Hooroo If we had a proactive Govt who gave a flying fuck about economic recovery and taking advantage of the bit of good work they did in basically eliminating Covid from these shores, we could push for this.

ESPN Islands. Has a ring to it. Or ESPN Aotearoa. We could host the NBA and NFL relatively easily. Particularly the NFL with all our rugby grounds.

And I agree with Rachel Nichols btw. She's maybe a tiny bit chubby but sexy.

And while we're at it let's invite the EPL to pay us to host their top 6 teams for a preseason tournament. Fuck the America's Cup, imagine the money to be made from the cut of broadcast cash

There are loads of opportunities out there. The only major drawback is our time zone.

37 mins in, they have a two minute light-hearted discussion about the NBA season being played in NZ. Exactly what I'm suggesting.
