@chchfanatic A bunch of guys out of position or code but a decent line-up. There must be some more Crusaders though, surely??

CBHS, without delving into any archives:

    15 C Slade / W Jordan
    14 S Hamilton
    11 D Gibson
    13 A Leinert-Brown / N Mauger
    12 A Mauger
    10 D Carter / A Mehrtens
    9 Scott Hansen
    8 N Manu
    7 M Todd
    6 A Thompson
    5 L Romano
    4 B Retallick
    3 O Franks
    2 A Dixon
    1 B Franks / D Hewett / R Loe

Fergie McCormack could be the fullback in this side, and Bob Deans could play 13. Tony Steel could be one of the wingers. Helluva backline.

@shark who’s out of position. Brodie was a prop at high school as they had another good hooker and crotty played 10 at high school. Everyone else in normal positions. Setaimata sa was a gun number 8 at school. Only missed nz schools because he’d already signed with the roosters.

@Canes4life he did eventually, after his old man took him out of Tawa and sent him into St Pats. He was a bit of a loose cannon apparently (you'd never believe it eh) His sister Brenda went righ through Tawa.

Sure, but Crotty didn't make his name as a 10, nor McAlistair as a prop. It's all fun and games but I would have thought there might have been better options at both spots whilst keeping those guys in position.

Who would've guessed that Alex Ainley was born in Auckland and attended Rangitoto College.

@Tim Yeah that threw me too. I assumed Nelson born and bred, and most likely from a non-rugby school like Waimea College.

Kelleher half-back half-forward. The guy really likes both groups equally.
